Westphalian_Musketeer

I read and write in an attempt to figure out which questions and beliefs our little microcosm of a community holds. My verdict? I'm not saying.

As comprehensively as the process of converting a person into a pony has been studied, certain factors still largely elude the scientific community. One such phenomenon is the 1.83% of people who claim to have conversations during their conversion dreams.

Jack Jepsen has decided to convert into a pony. He's taken his classes and passed all the tests, and is ready to take the plunge. It's Graduation Day One at the Manhattan Bureau for Jack. It's a tough decision, and sometimes all the nagging doubts are dealt with on the table, sometimes after. Will his peculiar visions be to his benefit, or the downfall of another?

A nice little story indeed West. Looking forward to more from you

Also, do a Ctrl+F for cam, you'll see it :twilightsheepish:

I am liking this as well.

In a way, a dream is just you, talking to yourself about the day you had together. It helps the mind integrate experiences by reinforcing "budded" connections, or so a neurologist told me. I guess what you're saying here is that a conversion dream would be you integrating yourself with your body. Seems like a big deal, when you look at it that way. Reminds me of a few other dreams that we've all collectively shared, as in: "I have a dream..."

2/10 needs more misanthropic undertones to qualify as TCB.

Actual:
7/10 pretty good but not my cup of tea.

I liked this story very much. The Conversion Dream was intriguing and unusual.

I think Ted is lucky not to be critically injured from such a fall. My old training made me shudder at a balcony tumble.

Personally, I think this story could be taken further. It has intriguing elements to it that are potentially greater than being a one shot. That said, it is a good one-shot.

Excellent story, with clear potential for continuation. I really like the inner dialogue aspect. It could provide a lot of interesting insight into conversion and the process of acclimatization to life as a pony and immigration to Equestria. :pinkiehappy:

Only thing I didn't like was you using the word "midget" as humor. Some people take offense to that.

I might have gone for "oompa loompa." Make people think it was halloween or something.

Other than that, nice job!

Very nice! Felt a little incomplete(I expected a drawn-out conversation with a Sister), but good nonetheless.

And now I'm interested in how Twilight's ascension would (not) affect Earth and the Bureaus. I understand this universe doesn't quite revolve around the Mane 6 like most do, but it could still be an interesting prompt. Has it been done?

I'll give it props. I'm not the biggest fan of straight TCB, as you know, but this actually wasn't too bad at all. Kind of refreshing based on the other TCB fics I've read in recent years.

2669015 Found and fixed, thank you.

2669424 Thank you very much.

2669904 2669976 2670846 As it stands, I'm happy to keep this as a one-shot, maybe in the (very) distant future, if I want to integrate this into a lengthier immigration story, I could, but for now, I'd prefer to work on a few other things.

2670680 Personally I'd be more offended if someone used the term "dwarf", which is apparently what the vertically challenged prefer.

2669843 I think we all know what I'd have to do in order to get a 10/10 with you.:duck:

2669531 Also, a dream is sometimes you getting mauled by some horribly angry bear, but yes, you hit the nail on the head with that one, a conversion dream, to my personal view, is the very first of the "crash course" lessons for learning.

2671108 Mauled by a... oh, you had the Wrestlin' Dream! :raritystarry: Finally! I knew this day would come. Come on, let's pick you out a mask and see what we can do for a name.

Respectful of both sides of the argument and funny besides. Well done. Thank you for this.

I never understood why anyone would change to live longer.Seriously, what is the appeal in living longer, I already grown tired of just waking up. I am not talking depression, since I have no desire to die just yet...just....tired.

Plus I would be suspicious as hell if someone just up and offer me something like a potion of that caliber for free.

2728613 While I can perfectly understand someone not wanting to live longer, though if I tried to list them all, no doubt I would miss well over half of them. I can also understand a person wanting to live longer. There are so many stories to be written, simply because there are so many beliefs that would feed into those stories. For this one however, I went with the belief and a long life on one's terms was something worth trading species for.

2702825 You're welcome (Sorry for the delayed response, I prefer to wait until there are a few comments to reply to.)

2671287 Actually, no, I've really dreamed about being attacked by a bear. I woke up when I punched the wall beside my bed.

Human beings are naturally xenophobic. It's just the way how humanity is in general...that's something that TCB tends to dwell on (and at times critical of humanity.)

Nice fic dude! But I noticed a small mistake.

"Y-you! No! They got to you to?"

The second to should be a too.

6800998 Error amended. Thank you very much.

One that doesn't have the TF turn people into zombies, what a concept. *claps*

Heh. Love seeing these positive conversion stories.
