For little less than one thousand years, the species of Equestria had been a part of the Trade Order, sharing the millenium of peace of prosperity the humans had enjoyed.
Now, with the arrival of alien invaders and the return of ancient evils, that peace was been shattered. A people unused to war had to rediscover its ways and fight for their home. The Trader Emergency Coalition was born from this need.
Ten years have passed, and the sitation has improved to the point High Command has authorized a rotation of the forces, sending the weary first generation back to their homes, to rest and recover.
Meanwhile, a lavander unicorn mare who has never been on a planet is travelling to Equestria on behalf of her teacher...

When Sins of a Solar Empire came out, I was intrigued by it, but never ended up getting it (I'm pretty terrible at strategy games). This, however... I am VERY intrigued. Two things I would recommend changing: A superior officer wouldn't say "dismissed" to a group when he was the one leaving, and I would rewrite the line "But enough family history, let us get back to the present." as it really harms the immersion in my mind (and you do an impressive job of building it throughout the rest of the chapter). I do love your characterization, though- it seems you've kept the three ponies shown so far fairly true to their roots while adapting them for a much more advanced setting.
I think I'll be tracking this one. Keep up the good work!

Nevermind.... I just read that bit in chapter 2....
Perhaps you could include some links to screenshots of the ships ? So we can see an actual view of an Akkan or a Kol Battlecruiser, since you're not describing them much. You can see what I mean in this story about other spaceships.
Anyway, have some stars and a track ! The inclusion of humans weirded me out in the beginning, but why not ? It's working so far

Thanks! I have to say, I'm finding the worldbuilding both unbelievably fun and a cause of splitting headaches. It takes quite a bit of work, since the game has nothing on everything, but sitting back and reading the results and knowing that I made this world... it makes me smile, it really does.
