Derpy has received some news from her adoptive parents, far out of Equestria, with little time to lose, lest she miss her chance to say goodbye, she heads over to talk to her daughter.

Yeah. I'm taking some liberties here.

Princess Celestia, in her infinite wisdom, sent Twilight Sparkle to Ponyville in order to learn about the Magic of Friendship; many years later, and after hundreds of adventures with the five amazing friends she made that day, she now stands watch over the last of them as they prepare for the end. Naturally, they refuse to go quietly into that good night.

After all, there's always time for one last spin around Equestria, right?

On the fourth day of the fourth month of every year, Equestria pays homage to its fallen heroes. As daylight sets on this solemn ceremony, the immortal sun bows before the soldiers who died for her, and whispers an ancient question for which there is no answer.

Pinkie Pie loves having fun. Who doesn't? And Nightmare Night is one of the funnest nights of all. Everyone dresses up in costumes and goes around scaring everypony. And this year, Princess Luna is joining in the fun! She's really good at scaring ponies!

Except.....Luna's not having fun. Apparently, nopony told her that this was all pretend.

After Equestria gets invaded, only Canterlot remains standing, for now. Behind a magic shield, starving and continuously bombarded, the mane six have one last happy moment before it's all over, courtesy of Pinkie Pie.

Twilight Sparkle sends a series of letters to Princess Celestia after slaying a villain.

Rainbow Dash has a flying accident and ends up in the hospital. Not long after the accident is when the outbreak occurs. Are her friends ok? Is their a cure? Will Rainbow Dash survive?

Whenever somepony would ask, Derpy always said that Dinky was hers. Some would always question that, saying that she herself was too young to have a filly Dinky's age. But still, Derpy always said that Dinky was her's and no other ponies. But while the statement always was the truth. It hid a dark and terrible secret.
One that almost cost a baby filly her life, if not for a wall-eyed young mare.

Found this comic and it caused so much feels that a story popped up in my head that I had to write.
