After being discharged from the Wonderbolts and spending an interesting night with a certain rainbow-maned Pegasus, Soarin moves into a new career, Weather Control.

A first-of-its-kind event, a international race in the skies, comes to Cloudsdale. Creatures of all shapes and sizes sign up to prove that they are the best flier of the world, including the presumed best in Equestria, Rainbow Dash. Along with her new-found friend, Swift Flying, both find that the competition is fierce, and while there are some friendly faces, there are also foes, both new and old. There can only be one winner, but at what lengths will each one go to come out on top?

Passion for flight - Rainbow Dash wouldn't be who she is if she didn't love spreading her wings and fly.

However, one crash sets off a chain of events where she finds herself facing her greatest nemesis from within and she doesn't have her friends around for support. Instead, she turns to somepony else that she just met but may be the best qualified to assist. Together, they start developing a friendship and face challenges that may place them in more jeopardy than they could ever imagine.

Sombra is a great fighter but also a dirty one. Rainbow Dash comes to the decision that their is only one way to stop Sombra. Desperate to free her friends and save Celestia's rule, Rainbow Dash gives the ultimate sacrifice for her friends.

Rainbow Dash is forced to confront the things that she locked away in the recesses of her memory, and her friends are the only ones that can save Rainbow from herself.
