Mayor Mare has a solution however, a Bachelor auction and Big Mac is the star of her little show. Nectus is your average changeling. He works hard to provide for the hive. He just has a teensy flaw involving a certain phobia that causes him great discomfort. So, he fled from the hive, but still delivers any food he gains to the hive. After Queen Chrysalis finds out about the mystery materials, she goes out of his way to find just what is up with Nectus.

Short one-shot story involving perhaps the most debilitating situation for a changeling.

"I couldn't keep going without you, Dad. I needed some way to hold on to you, to never let you go. I needed to grasp onto the breeze you left behind in your dust, but it was intangible, and I was stopped by the barren force field of reality. You were gone..."

That heavenly blast of life lasts only a short while, and it often becomes time for the rebirth, and desolation, of the blazing legend. A new spirit must rise from the ashes, and the last one must embrace its final moments. But how hard is that death, when the only life you live is entirely pure?
