Third in the Nuptialverse...

Twilight Sparkle has done much for Equestria. If it weren't for her, Equestria would be destroyed three times over by now.

So what happens when she has to leave? What happens when she and Spike are forced to depart from Equestria in order to fulfill their duties? And what happens when there's still important things at home to do?

Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash now have to get along without the one who leads them. All of Equestria is counting on them. Can they do it?

AU only post-season 2, since the basic idea for this fic was created long before it aired. Events similar to season 3 have happened, all of which will be revealed. Strongly recommended you read Post Nuptials and Families first.

Rainbow Dash had hoped that when Applejack came home, it would be a warm and happy reunion between the two lovers after AJ returned from the latest Apple Family Reunion. However, Rainbow Dash learns that AJ and her immediate family are no longer Apples. They are now clanless and it's all because of her.

Yet sometimes, true family lies not in blood, but in love.

I don’t have much of a choice, if I go crazy, I don’t know that I can do anything to stop it. But, maybe someone else can. You see, there’s this filly, and she drives me up the walls, but I followed her through a door that doesn’t want to close. Thing is, I’m not sure if I want it to.

What would you risk for the chance to have a friend? How many doors would you cross? I'm about to find out.

At eight years old, Rainbow Dash was being constantly bullied at flight school. She had picked up the nickname Rainbow Crash, along the way. She finally turns to her mother to seek help and receives advice which she holds with her all through her life. "Don't let them see you cry, put a brave face on and stand up tall, even if you're shaking in your horseshoes."

Paul's self confidence has always been an issue, but on the night that he needs it most, a saving grace falls quite literally into his lap.

Now stuck in an overrun Equestria full of demons and shackled ponies, this brony has to work through his personal issues in addition to dealing with the evil forces at work. He'll experience the highest peaks of joy and lowest valleys of pain, and maybe even find a love for the ages. But there are dark beings pulling strings behind the scenes, and nopony knows just how deep Equestria's troubles run.

In the end, could Paul's personal issues and those of Equestria somehow be linked?
