Twilight Sparkle finds a dust covered book that holds dark secrets. As the Elements of Harmony weaken, she must deside who is the "right poney". And if she doesn't get it right, it could be the end of the Elements.

When a small, red bird escapes from Canterlot, Princess Celestia writes a letter to Twilight requesting for her to find her.
There is a problem however. Fluttershy follows one of her animal friends, a bear, and finds a little filly. Fluttershy takes her home and minds her, like a mother.
But she has a secret that only Fluttershy knows. And if anyone else finds out, the little filly might be in big trouble.

Comet is awake during the day. Angel stays up all night.

Comet likes using a halberd. Angel excels at using claws.

Comet is a pegasus. Angel is a bat pony.

Together, they take on all the twists and turns life hands them. However, things don't always go as planned.
