Trixie has wings and a horn, but she isn't a princess yet. With Equestria's political situation fragile following the events of Tirek's attack and subsequent defeat, she has to hide her status from everypony. At the same time she has to learn how to control these new powers and try to earn the respect she desires.

Of course this would all be easier if there wasn't someone working against her from the shadows.

You don't need to read The Unchosen One before you read this, but since this is a direct sequel it would be good so you know how and why Trixie got those wings. It would also be good to have seen the ending of season 4. If you haven't yet, don't read the bit above where I mention Tirek. Don't read that last sentence either.

I don't often do real news on this show, but these are some genuine equine interest stories, folks. It has been about 7 months since The Great and Powerful Trixie took over Ponyville using the dark power of the Alicorn Amulet. Since then, Trixie has been trying to turn over a new leaf performing at a bar in Fillydelphia. Even though most of her fans have now ostracized her, she at least has a new place to stay, and some food to eat. Trixie wished her life would turn around for the better, but she just did not know how to go about it. After a twist of fate occurred by rescuing the princess of the night from the forest near her home, Trixie figured it was the perfect opportunity to seek what her power truly was, and how she can be just as useful as Princess Twilight Sparkle was for all of Equestria. This resolve to find out who she truly is will take Trixie on an adventure that she will never forget. Through the rigors of training, to finding a couple of lost magical artifacts, Trixie will have to endure the hardship of dealing with her past, and the struggles she faces internally when it comes to her ego and her bad habits which drive her potential friends away. Will she finally be able to prove not only to herself, but also to the rest of Equestria that she is truly the highest level unicorn? Bring along your adventure map, your laughs, and a few feels for this Great and Powerful ride you will not forget!
