Four years ago Vinyl and Octavia broke up. It was messy, painful and left scars on both of them. Four years on, now one of the most successful DJs in Equestria’s history, Vinyl receives news that Octavia has been in a terrible accident. The doctors say she may never recover from her coma, but Vinyl refuses to believe them. There are all sorts of stories about coma patients who are brought back by the voice of someone they care about, right? No matter what anypony else says, offers or threatens, and no matter what it costs her personally or professionally, she is determined to stay by Octavia’s side and do all she can to wake her.

But four years is a long time, and no matter how many fairytales end with the princess waking up, real life owes no-one a happy ending.

This is a short one-shot that pairs up rule 63 Vinyl Scratch (Record Scrape) with Octavia. Just a bunch of cute fluff. Thanks to my brother for inspiring me to do this. Hopefully you guys like it.

There are a lot of ups and downs to being a musician. This is the story of how two musicians, one on top of the world, but still missing something. And the other at the bottom, not knowing what to do. find what there both looking for in a small bar in Manhattan.

Famous jazz musician Vinyl Scratch needs a voice to her music, and she does not have to look any farther than her own marefriend Octavia to deliver the goods. Come on down to the club, grab a drink, and lose yourself in the music.

Vinyl Scratch is the supervillain DJ P0N-3, committing all sorts of crimes by day. Octavia is the superhero Symphonia, stopping all kinds of crimes by day.

After Octavia finishes playing for the Broadhay Theater, her unexpected but fun friend Vinyl Scratch, popularly known as DJ-Pon3, visits and invites her and her friends to a party at a popular dance club, something that the cellist is unfamiliar with. Not wanting to disappoint her friend, Octavia agrees to go to her party, but can she last through the loud music, rowdy party-goers, blinding lights, and stallions constantly flirting with her?

And it's not that she's ever had a problem with Canterlot nightlife; she just has a problem with ponies named Vinyl Scratch. Not that anypony knows why, though, and Octavia isn't about to share embarrassing secrets.
