Celestia awakens from a nightmare, a vision of a future that no one in her nation wants to see. So what's she to do?

She sends Twilight to fix it. Of course.

That's not to say she isn't unprepared; she gave her a notebook with a couple spells. She doesn't expect what they'll do when she casts them, though... nor does she expect both her and her opponent to be taken for a ride.

Every culture has its own myths and stories, its heroes and monsters. Enter the Buffalo Legends, where mighty heroes like Broad Hoof, Quick Star, and Clever Horns perform feats of daring and courage, where tricksters like Star Dog wreak havoc and cause mischief, and where the Spirits of old come to life once again. These stories, told by an unnamed buffalo elder, have been passed down since time immemorial, and now they are being passed down to you.

Each chapter is a separate, mostly stand-alone fable. Unless stated in the Author's Note as adaptions of existing legends (and this won't happen very often), all chapters are original.

In the crazed aftermath of Discord's escape, a young zebra and diamond dog are found on death's doorstep outside of Ponyville. Taken by their adoptive guardian, the duo attempts to acclimate to town to the best of their abilities all the while hiding a fairly big secret.

Twilight discovers an insidious new plot by a new shop in town, they sell things she finds out are named "peesa" and the combinations are unbelievable. Always, however, they seem to be based around cheese and tomato, two of the Princess of Friendship's favorite foods!

Contains: Fun, silliness, changelings... fairly standard fare for me!

EDIT: So, this universe is completely identical to the normal canon universe, except Twilight Sparkle freakin' loves cheese. (in other news, I now know what a quesadilla is)
