Princess Celestia goes through the same routine day after day and has grown tired of it, even with her long life cycle. So when her old friend, Twilight Velvet has an idea sure to catch some attention, the ruler of the sun agrees, albeit begrudgingly.

Now connecting with other females who value their children lives above themselves like herself, she begins to find comfort in those she considers friends.

Until an accidental slip of the tongue reveals her true identity and the fate of her son's life could very well be in the balance.

Why couldn't she just be a normal pony?

This story is a sequel to Maternal Bonds of Eternal Friendship

Spike feels he is no longer relevant to Twilight, or any pony, ever since Twilight became the Princess of Friendship. With Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and other ponies now receiving all the attention as he gets left behind to tend to chores, he questions his purpose and whether he really is seen as anything special by any pony.

Spike is Back and came back to ponyville but with a different apperance. over five years his back with in ponyville and wondering if anything had change while he was gone.

When Spike went to bed, he was a 162 year old dragon, war veteran, twice widower, and living on the outskirts of Ponyville. This morning, he wakes up to a voice he hadn't heard in decades on the eve of the 1000th Summer Sun Celebration.

Now, Spike must choose between the future he knows and a future he can make.

Have you ever watched one of the episodes of MLP and started wondering, "I wonder what Spike is doing right now?" well the answer to that question will be satiated here.

Join Spike as he goes through many of his own adventures whenever the mane 6 are on their own or when he is merely helping others while not on screen.

There will also be noticeable changes on canon episodes but it wont change how Spike's character is. Mostly adjusted scenes and/or different wording.

Lastly, episodes where Spike is the main focus, or is mostly presented will either be shortened or will have most skipped.

Synopsis

Greed strengthens a dragon. But what of the opposite? Spike feels a little bit of himself broken away with each passing day as Rarity flaunts her newfound love with another stallion. But that's the least of his troubles. A formal gala for which he is the guest of honour quickly approaches. With the relationship between the Council of Friendship and the nobles of Equestria at stake, he is certain this gala could only end in a big political disaster. Enter Princess Luna, cunningly disguised as the sweet elegant mare by his side, intent on turning him from a laughingstock into the star of the show. But jealousy and misfortune swiftly strike, leaving Luna permanently stuck in her disguise. Together they must maintain their cover until they somehow figure out how to fix everything. As the days pass, as the 'one more day's turn into a week, they slowly come to a startling realization - Perhaps there is nothing to fix?

Why do I love him? Because, he's cool, knows what a mare want to hear and he's awesome. But I like mares, and yet, I have strong feelings for him. The only male who was able to steal my heart. Hell and here I thought males were no good slobs. He proved me wrong, oh so wrong. I want to be with him, to hold him, and stay with him. I'll even cut off my wings.....for my love, for him. Spike has been away on royal business for about a month. Pinkie, Twilight and the rest of the gang are planning a big party for him when he returns. Things seem to be going smoothly until certain happenings lead Spike to question the way other ponies see him, specifically one purple-maned unicorn, and a turn of events results in them seeing a part of Spike none of them-including him-knew existed. It seems they didn't know as much about Spike as they think they did...

Chapter 15 is up!

When the Yakyakistan's start wrecking stuff after finding out that the food isn't perfect, Spike has more than a few choice words for them.

Rainbow Dash was never the kind of pony to care about what stallions thought of her, or at least that was what everypony assumed. When Spike finds out that what she really wants is to to be treated like a lady, he offers take her on a date. After all, it was just one date.
