Apple Bloom is tired of being the last in her class to not have her Cutie Mark, but her friends Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo aren't going in the right direction to get their Cutie Marks, and she knows it. In order to get her Cutie Mark the right way, Apple Bloom begins to have thoughts of separating from her friends, and getting her Cutie Mark on her own. But her search for her Cutie Mark opens up to a major mystery in Equestria, and Apple Bloom will discover much more than just her special talent...

Though not much prior knowledge of the Legend of Zelda series is required, you may not recognize some names if you're a stranger to the franchise. Takes place after Ocarina of Time, but before Majora's Mask.

[NOTE] I guess you could call this a sequel to My Little Dashie, since it is supposed to take place after the events that happened in it, and since it does reference it a lot.

Nightmares lead to confrontation. Confrontation leads to mystery. Mystery leads to the darkness.

After the Mane 6 all have similar nightmares of an abandoned mineshaft and their murders at the hands of Twilight Sparkle, they decide to investigate, leading them to where they confronted the Diamond Dogs before. Only the Diamond Dogs have changed, and there appears to be many more secrets hiding in the darkness of the underground caverns.

Not to mention that clanking... the continuous infernal clanking...

One fateful day in Equestria, Twilight stumbles upon a book that contains a peculiar ring. Intrigued, she brings this to the attention of Princess Celestia, only to find herself smack dab in the middle of a mountain troll attack! She is quickly cornered. Fearing for her life, she accidentally uses the ring and summons a huge biped sporting a large drill on one arm.

Without hesitation, the creature cuts down the trolls, making short work of them. When it turns to face her, however, it obviously has something else in mind...

Twilight awakes from a minor magical accident to find herself dead. She believes she is doomed to wander Equestria for all eternity, that is until she discovered certain ponies could see lost souls like her, ponies like Princess Luna.

After being rudely awoken from Cryo-sleep, John-117 finds that the Forward Unto Dawn has been sucked into a gravity well, causing it to fall towards an unknown planet. In the crash, he is separated from Cortana and falls alone into the Everfree forest. In addition to this new complication, old memories from a scarred and tragic past haunt his dreams, putting his remaining sanity on edge.

However, he has little time to ponder these thoughts, as he encounters the planet's... peculiar... inhabitants.
