The Doctor has had a good, long run through time and space with Ditzy Doo. But it is that time again for him to regenerate bodies. But this time, it seems... different...
What would happen if The Doctor regenerated... as a mare?

A strange dream leads Twilight Sparkle to embark on a quest to find the mysterious moonflowers - and perhaps also her heart's deepest desires.

Currently trying to earn another doctorate in the Magical arts, Twilight Sparkle is unable to use her previous research on the 'Magic of Friendship' for her final thesis. Forced to look elsewhere for a suitable subject matter, she approaches Zecora who directs her to an undocumented species of magical flower.

While she studies this plant, Twilight learns more about a little known field of study called 'dream magic' and some of the hidden secrets of her consciousness.

During this period of magical and self discovery, Twilight has come to realise it that everypony has a dark side, even the best of us.

But what happens when she finds hers?

The princess has gone quiet. Ever since the nations began uniting under one flag, the princess has refused to see anypony, and nopony, not even Celestia's sister has seen heads or tails of the sun goddess.
She only wants to see her student.
Twilight ventures to the castle to see what exactly is the problem.

This whole thing was inspired by one little part in the cover picture. I don't know how many people agree with me, but she (Nightmare/Celestia) seems more concerned than anything else.

EDIT: I was planning on making this a one shot, but fate insists that I change that. No longer will this be a one shot, but a two-parter, I think. 5 comments. Holy shiznits, I must have done something right.

This is the story of a young pegasus stallion, or you specifically. After the passing of your mother, and your ever increasing distant father, your brother has never felt safe in the cloud home. Afraid of heights and normal life in Cloudsdale, you decide to abandon your former life to start a new one on the ground, in a town called Ponyville. While there you find a cute mare that runs the local post office who goes by the name of Ditzy Doo.
