Two distant souls who never considered starting a journal find themselves starting one anyway. When one's only true companion is made of paper, how much more does the heart long for company?

Snipsy J. Scissorhooves was a simple unicorn colt going about his simple unicorn colt business. That is until one day, when he discovered the true meaning behind his special talent. Now, eager to prove himself to the whole of Equestria (and one little filly in particular), he takes a part-time job as a stylist at Rarity's expanded Boutique, and he quickly becomes popular with the female population of Ponyville. Very popular. Maybe...a little TOO popular.

Meanwhile, Pierre Escargot (known around town as 'Snails') struggles to occupy his time, without the constant companionship of his UBBFF (un-brother, best friend forever.)
