After a party to welcome the season of Nightmare Night, the library becomes the target of strange activity. Minor annoyances prelude greater events, and soon Twilight and Spike each take action to handle the situation in their own way. All the while, questions hang in the air. What lingers amongst the shelves? What watches from the corners? What stands just behind you only to disappear when you turn to look?

What is in the library, and what does it want?

Twilight hasn't been right since discovering the history of two long forgotten races, and her subsequent excursion to the last of their ruins. After the sudden, and violent death of Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Fluttershy, Twilight announces that all is complete to resurrect the Alicorns and Draconquus. Rainbow Dash rushes off to the Castle of Friendship to confront Twilight, and put an end to her quest.

Note: It's been a while since I've actually posted a story. Hope you enjoy. Fair warning, this is a grimdark. The concept came to me while I was at the story today, and I thought, why not? I've got some time.

Experimental fic, a mixture between words and pictures. Not your usual narrative.

It all started, or ended really, about two months ago. They came in the night, an unrelenting force that wanted nothing but to watch us suffer.

They took everything from us, including those close to our hearts. Now those same ponies are trying to destroy the very things they wanted to protect. What little we have left, we protect with our lives.

I had one thing left, but now... she's gone.

Rainbow Dash lost control of her vampire power five hundred years ago, and she's never been the same mare since.

Numerous ponies find themselves caught in the web of this vindictive killer's game.

Sweetie Belle is one such pony.

Twilight Sparkle was Rainbow's partner for life until that day. A vampire as well, she regained control of her power back then but became the eternal target of Rainbow's vengeance thereafter.

Crimson, the vampire who turned Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle, didn't know Rainbow would turn on Twilight, but is otherwise proud of her being his legacy.

Applejack is cleaning her attic and finds an ugly mask. She offers it to Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, because they enjoy pranking ponies. Rainbow is first to arrive to check it out, and finds out there seems to be more to the mask than Applejack knew.
She has to have it, and she can't wait to try it out.

This story is a sequel to Something Sweet To Bite

After the strange disappearance of everypony in Ponyville and half the population of Canterlot, the citizens of Equestria live in fear and uncertainty. A year passes and while Celestia tries to once again shoulder the responsibilities of the crown without her sister Luna by her side, the investigations into what happened and why have born little fruit. Rainbow Dash, the weather pony of the now ruined Ponyville, may be the key to discovering at last what happened to Luna, her friends, and her town. And perhaps what exactly it is the Candy Mare wants.

One day, trying to find Twilight within the Castle of Friendship, Rainbow Dash stumbles on a door that seemed to appear from nothing, leading to another hallway. Curiosity overtaking her, she decides to explore it.

The sun was as bright as day; the morning having humidity in the air. Seem like a nice day; if you haven't woke up with a future prediction of your best friend torturing you and using your inners for special ingredients to make cupcakes.
