A mist had spread out through Equestria causing memory loss when inhaling it for so long. There were strange incidents as this mist remained. Fluttershy, being one of the first to experience the strange incident. Only to find strange leaves popping out of her mane as she tried to search a way out of Everfree forest, only to realize. She couldn't find any sort of memory how she ended up there.

The mist seemed to appear out from nowhere, and took ponies who would be in contact of the mist and bend them to become one of the mists victims.

And perhaps what exactly it is the Candy Mare wants.

A normal evening in Ponyville steadily falls into a mystery. The sun has set just like any other day, but the moon never rose to take its place. Even the stars refuse to shine in the sky. With no word from the princesses and most of her friends too busy working to help keep Ponyville functioning, Twilight Sparkle takes it upon herself to get to the bottom of the mystery with a reluctant Fluttershy in tow.

What is causing this phenomenon? And why can't she shake the feeling of being watched?

Fluttershy has seen her share of tribulations and tragedies in her time taking care of animals. She realized that the thing she hated the most was to see them suffer; especially when there was no guarantee that they would recover from an ailment. Fluttershy knew the kindest act she could ever do would be to release those animals… and ponies, from their misery. She would be their Angel of Mercy.
