Struggling to edit and write, and starting to read.

One day, trying to find Twilight within the Castle of Friendship, Rainbow Dash stumbles on a door that seemed to appear from nothing, leading to another hallway. Curiosity overtaking her, she decides to explore it.

Thank you for this entry. I look forward to reading it.

I mean, it's a really effective horror story, but I don't understand why the castle would have that hallway. Was the Tree of Harmony just like "Thank you for saving the world, friends! As an award for all your hard work, have this random magical hallway that you'll get trapped inside—perfect for a slow, painful death by starvation, or worse! You're welcome!"

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this story, and it easily got a Thumbs Up from me; I just feel like I'm missing something important that I shouldn't be missing. Rainbow Dash died—or suffered a fate worse than death—for seemingly no discernible reason.

The intention was that, with the other hallways and ponies shown at the end, that this is not the tree. It's something else, though what Dash may never know.

Oh, that makes much more sense that what I was thinking. Thanks for the clarification! (Hopefully someday somebody figures out how to save them all—probably not, but hey, a hopeless optimist can dream.)
:)

... The buck did I just read???
Sequel? Please?
I really feel like this story could use a sequel.

I like when there's some unnatural, even transdimensional "entity", "possesses"(?) some area in horror stories, and protagonists are stuck in it. :D It gives you unique feelings during the reading.

But. Honest to say, of all of your stories, this one is leaving the strongest feeling of... "incompleting".
Maybe due to the fact that it indeed happened in Twilight's castle, made by the most powerful magical entity, tree of harmony, and the fact that Dash herself brought up this fact and discussed it (if she didn't, there's a chance I would not even think about this)... After this, such cut short ending makes you confused. :[

I understand this story should have been written under 5000 words though. It's tough to tell more in such short borders.

Did we forget something? Like...the ending?

Odd that it happened in the Castle of Friendship,a place one would think would be the most safe from eldritch Locations springing up.
A literal palace of harmony to host the Big good of the series and to be the home and base of the bearers of Harmony of which Dash is one. . Perhaps the purpose is the make the violation of that safety and comfort by the eldritch powers that much more shocking, you woulnt expect such a force to exist there of all places. Considering the works of this author, the fact Dash had to physically enter the eldritch realm of her volition and theoretically could have avoided and/or escaped the realm had she not entered is considered some form of limitation or even Mercy that the Castle brings.
