Since her banishment, Nightmare Moon has planned her Revenge. Now her 1000 year imprisonment has ended and she is out to take what is hers.
However the young Arcane Mage, Twilight Sparkle, will do all she can to stop Nightmare Moon, but Nightmare Moon is not alone as she has formed a small but powerful army.
However Twilight is also not alone, as five other mages, Applejack The Paladin, Rainbow Dash The Elementalist, Fluttershy The Druid, Rarity The Enchantress & Pinkie Pie The Jester will stand by her.
Can they save Mystika from Eternal Night? What will Nightmare Moon employ to achieve her goal? And will Twilight learn the Magic of Friendship

Life has been hard in the past few months for Twilight and her friends. They just saved Equestria from evil yet again, survived more monster attacks than you can shake a stick at, thwarted the plans of a psychotic cult of ponies in hoods, and made friends with a team of monster hunters and a human that happens to be a semi immortal slayer of evil, all of this happening in the span of a week. Needless to say, everyone could use a vacation, but their lives are so busy now with tasks both old and new.

Imagine Twilight’s surprise when Princess Celestia and her sister make Tom an offer he can’t refuse. He gets to stay at a luxurious water park and resort for a whole week, and all he has to do is solve a tiny little problem involving some ghosts at the park. He even gets to bring along Twilight, Spike, and any of their other friends that would care to go, what could be better?

But when the park’s mechanical entertainers start acting strange, what was once a tiny problem is now much less so. Now the group must dive into the forgotten depths of an underground section of the resort to uncover its dark secrets, but they aren’t alone.

Luna works tirelessly to create lovely nights for Equestria, but even after she came back from the moon, she finds that they still don't appreciate the night as much as she would like, and protecting their dreams is a thankless job. With all these factors piling up around her, Luna regrets being "saved" from Nightmare Moon, and sets out to take revenge.

In the middle of the night, a dark presence sweeps across all of Equestria, claiming the minds of most of the population. By the following morning, only a select few retain their free will. Among the Ponyville survivors are Spike the dragon, and a scared, blind, little filly named Tulip Iris.

Terror begins after Twilight and her friends make a horrifying discovery in the heart of the Everfree Forest during a trip to the castle of the two sisters - a hideous creature spawned from within the depths of their darkest nightmares. Now trapped within the dark ruins of the ancient castle with a violent thunderstorm raging outside, everypony must fight not only for their own survival, but for the survival of the whole of ponykind. Only one thing is certain, however, locked within the cold void with the no means of escape - the darkness is the last thing they have to be afraid of.

Spike's realized that it will never work between him and Rarity, so he writes a letter. A letter explaining everything to Rarity.

While everypony around him has gotten old, Spike has barely grown up. Only one of the bearers of the elements of harmony is left, and even she cannot last forever.

Spike and Rarity remember the good old days, but Spike still has a whole lifetime ahead of him.

My first effort at writing a pony fanfic. After a night of listening to "A Walk Down the Trail" and reading sadfics, I smashed out 1000 words of unplanned sad and sent it in. That was almost a year ago now. I'm uploading it more for competeneteness than anything, it really is very short and has plenty of flaws.

This story explores a dragon's nature somewhat, and spins a narrative of a middle-aged Spike regaling a visitor about the favorite item in his hoard: a statue of his favorite pony. It is a story about Spike, Rarity, reminiscing, letting go, and preserving that which is most precious to us.

Spike gets a visit from a truly loyal friend, but she isn't just coming for a regular visit. what does rainbow have to say? And how will it affect their relationship?
