Glimglam

I did things, once.

For several years, Fluttershy has been walking a path through the forest. A path that leads down, deep, into the darkness. A path that leads her to face what she fears most.

A short, dark tale written for One-Shotober.

"Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit, compassion, love, and understanding."
~ Louis Gerstner

A robot, constructed for a purpose that it does not understand, seeks to gain its Father's approval via whatever means it can. Following his instructions, being fit to serve, and always awake and alert. But its efforts are not enough; not suitable to fit Father's desire for a true daughter. In the end, no machine can truly substitute the depths of real emotion.

...Or is that untrue? Could feelings to a robot truly mean nothing? Or could they mean everything? What would it take to be considered... "real"?

Twilight has always wondered what it was like to be in love. Madly in love. She might just get the answer she desires in the form of the Love Countdown; a spell that, for one hour, sets the caster in a state of hopeless infatuation towards the first pony she sees.

But what she didn't read, was that the Countdown isn't specific to just one pony...

Title inspired by the Fastway song of the same name, "Love Countdown."

This story is a sequel to Panning Pancakes

Dinky and Derpy have owned and operated the best dang breakfast shop in Ponyville for years now. With over a gazillion flavored varieties of pancakes (never mind that "gazillion" isn't actually a number), it's the very best place to be for all your flat, rounded pastry needs!

But trouble just won't stay away from these two, will it? No, for a certain two salesponies non-pah-ray (or however the heck that's supposed to be written) have returned to Ponyville, bearing a new machine of whimsy and wonder: the Waffle Iron!

How will a mother and daughter deal with this callous and perfectly legal affront to their business? Has capitalism gone too far? Just what is the deal with waffles, anyway? There's only one way to find out...

The epic sequel to Panning Pancakes, because no one told me not to write it! Oh, and I suppose it's been written for that One-Shotober thing, too! Part of a balanced breakfa--I mean, the Muffinverse!

Sometimes, contemplating the little things in life never seem to occur to us as often as one would believe. And when they do, they usually do so at the most unusual moments, as Pinkie Pie will soon discover. What is there to be learned from a simple autumn breeze?

A short, nonspecific story written for One-Shotober.

When words are all that matter, the way that they are said can make all the difference.

An experimental short story written for One-Shotober, made entirely of dialogue exchange. Occurs Post-Season 3, before EqG.

This is a story that no one will read. Because the story, like me, has no name. No title. With no title, one can’t discern what could possibly take place in this story. For them, the journey into such a story will be akin to that of one into the deepest of unknowns. Strange, disturbing, and full of uncertainty. Much like how life is.

Whether or not it is chosen to be acknowledged, this is my life. The life of a nameless pony. My life.

An experimental short-story written for One-Shotober. Pre-read by electreXcessive.

It's natural to contemplate the delicate workings of the world around us. Scootaloo spends some time contemplating a bit too deeply, something that Sweetie Belle doesn't seem to understand. What is the meaning of our existence? The answer might elude us, but sometimes, answers cannot be found; they must be made.

A short, nonspecific story written for One-Shotober.

"There will come a day,
When the omen hangs above,
And shadows veil the way..."

Everything was just fine in Equestria. That is, until that day came about. The day when the Red Moon rose, and when everything else began to fall. That day, and the days that followed, would put pen to paper on one of the darkest chapters in Equestrian history.

But, is the true enemy the one that hangs in the heavens above... or is it the one that we must face inside each of us?

This story is a sequel to Making Muffins

Derpy Hooves has a daughter named Dinky. Of course, we all knew that, right? Derpy always calls Dinky "her little muffin", which is adorable, of course. But as it turns out, Dinky doesn't even like muffins that much! No, she has instead found solace in pancakes, instead!

How will Derpy react to this news? Is Dinky losing her mind? Are pancakes really all that they're cracked up to be? Are muffins getting stale? (Pun totally intended, by the way.) There's only one way to find out...

The not-so-epic sequel to Making Muffins, the story that no one asked for! And how 'bout that, now we have a threequel as well! Warring Waffles!
