On her way to the attic to gather materials, Rarity is surprised by the visitor waiting in her sewing room. The Element of Generosity will have to dig deep, not to satisfy the client, but to just understand them.

Celestia invites her sister Luna to debrief after the “Sibling-supreme” security debacle intending to get to the bottom of her little sister's motives.
Instead their discussion ends up leading Celestia down the proverbial rabbit hole, where she winds up learning more about her own motivation.

Applejack is awakened by a strange sound in the orchard. Investigating the source of the noise, she discovers Fluttershy singing alone in the moonlight.
Unable to leave and unwilling to reveal her presence, Applejack is mesmerized by the beautiful mare and her heavenly voice.
The next day, she can't stop smiling or humming her nightingale's song. Even her family notices.
Despite her best efforts, Applejack finds her thoughts keep drifting to her yellow Pegasus friend. When Fluttershy finally appears, the sparks begin to fly.
By the end of the day, Applejack begins to question the depths of her feelings for her friend.

Twilight has a dream. It's more of a nightmare. Due to her own interference, she watches as one by one her friends pair off, leaving her alone. She wakes in a panic. The dream feels too real.
Seeking guidance from Zecora, she sets off a chain of events in real life where her dream predictions start to come true. It makes her question everything.
Is her fate as an alicorn princess, to end up alone, or is something more in store for her future?

There is some romance/shipping and a little closeness, but nothing explicit. Not yet, anyway. If it changes in future chapters, I will upgrade the rating.

While dealing with the emotional fallout from almost losing to King Sombra, Twilight takes a moment to reflect. Celestia follows her out on the balcony.

Unable to hold back her feelings, Twilight begs a favor for when she will actually take over for Celestia in the future. The shock of the request leads them both to share more than they had intended or expected.
