This story is a sequel to Ponies Protecting Ponies

After the events of the Summer Sun Celebration, Lyra Heartstrings is permanently relocated to the Ponyville division of Ponies Protecting Ponies, Equestria's oldest and most secret defense agency. Surrounded by unfamiliar ponies in an unfamiliar town was not her choice, but it's the one she needs to live with. Now, someone else needs to learn to live with her, and vice-versa.

The story serves as a prequel to Ponies Protecting Ponies; reading that story is not necessary to enjoy this one.

Lyra Heartstrings has trained her whole life for a shot at the Royal Canterlot Orchestra. She's struggled to get as far as she has, but her audition for the Symphony is at least a step in the right direction. Nothing can go wrong. Absolutely, positively, nothing can go wrong if she's to expect any sort of progress in her career. To impress the judges she needs to have perfect form. What the judges don't realize, and what perhaps even Lyra herself doesn't realize, is just how much her passion packs a punch.

Although this story follows the events of Ponies Protecting Ponies, reading the previous story is not necessary to enjoy this one.

Amethyst Star, to put it simply, just had a very long night. On top of a productive first day of work, she now finds herself settling into the town of Ponyville for her new job. At least for the time being, she's been assigned to stay with a coworker. Of course, no one told Amethyst that her new roommate would need an occasional babysitter for one rambunctious little tyke.

Watching Ponyville and guarding Twilight Sparkle from harm has not been easy, but the town's PPP agents have done their duty admirably. When Sparkle departs for the annual Grand Galloping Gala, some of Ponyville's agents follow suit to find that all is not well at the social event. Murmurings of a heretical sect reach the keen ears of our agents, and an investigation is held post-haste. Let it be known that our organization does not believe in any "Spirit of Chaos". Not officially. True or not, possible terrorist activity does demand a response.

For several years, Twilight Sparkle and her friends have both embodied and defended the very essence of harmony itself. Now, at the request of Princess Celestia, they will found a new school to teach the six pillars of Harmony: Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, and Magic. After all, who else is more qualified to teach such ideals? And with Twilight Sparkle's diligent planning and sure-fire teaching methods, this school is sure to help shape the youths of Equestria for a better tomorrow.

Under order from Princess Celestia herself, our agents have been assigned to the protection of a unicorn named Twilight Sparkle with specific instructions that the espionage tactics we're known for stay in play; Sparkle can't know a thing. She hasn't been a hard VIP to secure thus far; most of her time is spent either at Princess Celestia's side, or in the Canterlot library. Hopefully a brief visit to the nearby town of Ponyville doesn't bring her safety into question.
