This is my first attempt at a one shot.

It is basically the story of an almost fully grown stallion going to visit his mother in hospital after a disagreement. Upon visiting her is greeted by the rest of his family who witnessed the argument, they all respond with the cold shoulder. All but the younger brother who is happy to see his older brother is safe.

After getting through their barrage of abuse, he is greeted to his mother lying motionless on a hospital bed...how could any self-respecting son talk to their parent like he did? Would he forgive himself? Would she forgive him? Can they be a happy family again?

Scootaloo...always being told she would never fly. Always wanting to be the best. Always hoping...
After her accident, she is left grounded in hospital. The doctors tell her about her disorder that renders her wings useless, she doesn't know what to do. The doctors tell her about a operation that 'could' allow her to fly, but if the surgery doesn't go right...she will lose her wings.

Who else but Rainbow would be there, she who she always looked up too. She had always told Scootaloo that she would never leave her side, no matter what. After hearing the details, she offers to donate the things they need for the operation. All she wanted to see is that sweet filly grow up to be an amazing flier.

It was supposed to be her best trick yet, it was supposed to get her into the Wonderbolts, but due to a miscalculation that causes her to fly wildly of course and into the barn. She was unharmed, but part of the barn landed on Winona, causing her to be severally injured. The vet said that she might not make it. Will Applejack ever be able to forgive Rainbow for possibly killing her pet? Will Rainbow Dash ever be able to forgive herself?
