I shall read this... ON THE MORROW!

I am not Evan going to read it just like and fave cause the title maybe I read Christmas

Another like and fave from me Scribs. Keep it up!

A perfect bit of holiday heartwarming. Funny ending there too.

This is great! I actually had to read it aloud to myself to get the rhythm right, and you did a very excellent job with it. The only lines that tended to be hard to read were those with names, but that's to be expected, since it's harder to emphasize the "wrong" syllable with names. Again, great job!

3701376 Thanks! Just had to channel my inner Zecora.

The reason for Twilight’s newfound agitation
Could be seen in the midst of the night’s constellations,
For up in the sky had appeared without cause
A bright-shining star ‘gainst all known phys'cal laws.

aww that would greatly agitate Twilight

The squirrels are squirrelly, the birds won’t sit still;
The fish swim in circles, and Angel is ill.

great rhyme here

Are they great balls of gas burning miles into space?
Some magical construct of Celestia’s make?

there is quite a lot of space between those two competing theories

It’s a sign from the great pony monarchs of yore
That our fightin’ and moanin’ and groanin’ and war
Are forgiven, so long as our errors we mend.
‘Tis a sign that all ponykind can start again.”

aww that is a nice mythology

This star beams ‘twixt Manticore, Dragon and Whale;
It coincides neatly with Gemstone and Bale.
The only conclusion that we can draw now
Is that fortune shines brightly on our little town.”

augh hate that it makes sense at all for Rarity to be into the astrological interpretation

I bet it’s a sign from the Great Pony Giver
Who flies in a sleigh pulled by eight mighty reindeer.
They circle Equestria each year on this night
In search of good fillies and colts to delight.
He leaves them sweet goodies and pastries and toys
And nice juicy apples and things that make noise!”

i like to think this is not referencing any pony tradition at all and Pinkie is just making it up on the spot

The answer, dear Fluttershy, is simple indeed.
That bright, shining orb means whatever you need.”

aww this does feel like a very immortal alicorn princess answer

The star by itself had no meaning or cause.
It had no agenda, nor virtues or flaws.
Each pony decided to think what she might,
And Ponyville’s ponies slept peacefully that night.

aww, which makes calling this event just "Wednesday" make sense! it's just another day, with as much meaning as a pony wants to ascribe to it

In a secluded part of the Everfree Forest, Zecora sat on her porch and looked at the night sky. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, a smile playing on her lips. “How good it feels to be able to talk normally,” she muttered. “I do wish the No-Rhyme Star would appear more often.”

ahaha love the irony of the twist! and oof, that Zecora's rhyming is not something she's doing deliberately but rather a curse she finds uncomfortable is a sad implication
