Red June has just moved to Ponyville. Despite what everyone thinks, it's all an illusion. Her parents aren't fancy rich ponies from Manehattan, she's not a model, and her current living quarters include a small pile of grass in an equally small alley. However, when she's discovered by a colt named Spectrum, she realizes she's got a lot more power than the average Earth Pony, and she's not alone in this power.
She finds herself suddenly introduced to a family of unrelated ponies, each with incredible power over a natural element. Under the guiding hoof of her mentor, Florina, will she fulfill her potential, or be destroyed by it?

I've never even played it! 
I was going through the Wiki one day, and I saw Red June. She's adorable! I'm glad someone made a story about her. Thumbed and faved.
There's a couple grammar mistakes I've noticed; would you be okay with me pointing them out, explaining what you're doing wrong, and how to correct/avoid it in the future? Because this story looks rather interesting, but every time I see something wrong it's a little mental jolt, so I can't concentrate on it. (Also, do you have an image link of these characters?)

This story fascinates me. I am in love with this scenario, adult ponies and foals with elemental superpowers who have to learn controlling them, a scenario similar to "X-Men" and like a ponified version of it, but not focusing on action and superhero fights, instead on emotions and the inner workings of a group of ponies with super powers and how society views them.
I especially love the role of Firelock here, her past and the relationship you have started to build up between her and Red June. You left open whether Firelock forgave Red June or if she hates her now after the end of Chapter 2 when she watched Red June through the window of her room, so will they become friends because of a similar past in which both of them lost their family? Or will they be enemies? Will Firelock get over what Red June said and make peace with her and bond with her because of their shared past experiences or will she become a bitter enemy of Red June who tries to kill her at every opportunity?
There is especially a lot of potential with their respective superpowers; Red June is able to grow plants at a rapid speed, Firelock can ignite objects and living beings by just a look from her eyes and cast fire everywhere she wants, which burns plants, so if she and Red June should become enemies, Firelock will have a natural advantage over Red June.
You leave room for so many possibilities what could happen between Red June and Firelock here, there is lots that can happen between these two fillies.
And Firelock can't control her powers yet and she has tendency to become aggressive and even attacks other ponies with her fire if she gets angry, that spells a lot of potential disaster for the future. Red June seems to be the central character of this story, but I find myself the most invested in Firelock.
I also think this story is way better than you give yourself credit for. The chapters are short, yes, but you manage to convey so many feelings by writing very intense and gripping scenes. The encounter between Red June and Firelock is the best example for that, you convey so much with it and with the following talk between Red June and Florina, this does a perfect job of setting up the relationship between Firelock and Red June and leaves lots of possibilities where it can go from there.
The very beginning of the story happens a little fast, when we see Red June so suddenly in Ponyville Elementary without knowing how she got there and get that explained in a few short paragraphs later on, this could and should be drawn out more, but the encounter between Red June and Firelock is perfect. I would change nothing about this scene.
I am not an advocate for short chapters, but I think this story is proof for it that even very short stories can be brilliant, if the right words are used in the right way.
The sheer number of background ponies you bring together in a meaningful story, even though you haven't gotten far enough so that we see them all in it, is also impressive. This is the exact kind of story that background ponies, and especially background foals, deserve and of which there should be many more of.
It's a pity that you cancelled the story and don't intend to continue it, but I appreciate what is there and I can always continue the story myself in my thoughts with the first three chapters and what you established in them. I would even love to continue it myself one day, once I know all of these background ponies a lot better than I do now and once my writing has gotten good enough for me to handle a story of that magnitude. Maybe one day, this story will continue.
