My contribution to the holiday, a short, silly one-shot I wanted to do, featuring Shining Armor and Fleethoof. How would you go about telling somepony you liked them? How would you leave them a little token of affection? Hopefully not this way.

I completely missed this story when it kicked off [I had for some ridiculous reason I forgot to follow you, but my stupidity has been .... redeemed?] but the scene in Cadence's front room made me laugh ..... a lot. Reminds me of a true story ......
But back to the main topic ..... the story! Really good as always and good use of comedy with out going over the top. No faults I can flag up either. My one question is would this "one shot" be related to the continuation of your main story or would it be a "spin off" and not related what so ever.

I'm glad you could relate, especially since I based that moment off a true story too! And to answer your question, no, this isn't a spin-off of the main series. It is out of chronological order, as I planned for this to happen after the next part of Skyfall, but with the Valentine's season coming around, I felt it would be funny and appropriate to put up. So it's canon (fanon?) to the storyline, but just slightly out of order. I'll fix that once the other stories pop up.
In all honesty, I never expected it to gain as much footing as it did! I'm very pleasantly surprised!

Damn this blew Skyfall out of the water in terms of views. I still would rather read you other stuff but this is hilarious in the beginning and touching in the end. Even though I enjoyed this I think it has a lot to do with reading the normal stories and knowing the personalities of the characters.

Everything I've done so far is sequential to the Skyfall saga, because I love working with the characters I've lovingly molded and crafted myself. There we go. Now I'm caught up with the world. Actually, discovering this was a wonderful little surprise. This short story was absolutely wonderful and I found myself laughing and feeling my heart flutter throughout it. It's scenes/stories like these that make me really want Cadance and Fleethoof to be together. I personally love their dynamic and how they fit together. I love Mightnight, and I know she's obviously best pony, but so far no pony has been able to match how powerful and wonderful the relationship between Cadance and Fleethoof is.
It's also great to see you do other stuff besides war and black ops stuff. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Aargh! I just found this and it is awesome! I Haven't started to read it yet, but I can't wait to see how Fleethoof acts as a civilian! I really liked him as a soldier, and this is a nice change from the sadness and tragedy of The Griffon War (I loved it though!)
