The Human rebel Dion used the bomb he asked the Doctor Beleski to implant inside of him to destroy the energy Barrier Machine, in doing so he blew himself and the machine to bits, however this hasn't the end of the heroic Dion, since the barrier machine produced enough energy to block anything, when the machine blew up, it created a wormhole taking most of Dion's blown up parts and reformed them in Equestria [Still as a human]. He lands near the CMC Clubhouse, Rainbow Dash had seen the Light from the Warp of worlds.

And I forgot to mention Dion can use a Magic Spell called Morph [Allows him to take the form of whatever the main race is] [a Pony in this case]

How about this? The CMC are obviously curious about this new creature, but Dion isn't sure about where he is. When they actually encounter each other, that's when you start having reactions. Afterwards, give Dion's reaction to them talking, like he is surprised by how they can talk.
Dion was one of my favorite party members,and I wish he'd stay a bit longer, but Borgin was way freaking OP. Also, if you'd like, have his friends make an appearance because Xagor did something or something happened on their way to his palace. Idk, make it interesting as you possibly can. Doesn't have to be perfect, just wing it and see where it goes. Take it one step at a time.
Also, have Dion ask questions as to where he is after the reactions are done.
