Dark but nice

I'm a sucker for a good Ashlands story, and this one delivered!

The darkness of the story, and the wholesome way it ended.

Very good 👍

And this is why Spike is one of, if not THE most important character in FIM. He's Twilight's Moral Anchor. Her little brother. He keeps her grounded in reality and makes sure she doesn't go off the deep end. He keeps her SANE.

Man that was deep and in this one are the foals born yet or no.

11405253 I often thought that he's the biggest reason why Twilight Sparkle didn't do a Sunset Shimmer, or a Moon Dancer. Not exactly the same, Sunset was after knowledge for powers sake, while Twilight would have been knowledge for knowledge's sake, but as EQG Twilight showed, that could have ended just as destructively.

So Discord broke everyone out of Tartarus and that caused Celestia to go full Day Breaker, rough timeline to get sucked into.

And I wanted to give him more to do during this episode. Having him be Twilight's conscience seemed the best way to do it. And to show just how important he is to Twilight.

This was a very good one-shot.

"No... No, you didn't miss anything," she insisted. "Um... Starlight's going to be staying with us. As my new student."

I'm a bit confused about the chronology here. This part started off with Shepherd saying Twilight took Starlight as student.

Especially given he can go Godzilla.

"go Godzilla", hm? That sounds suspiciously Blue Öyster Cult :rainbowwild:

Fuck. That was dark. And terrifying.

Yea, this story's a bit darker than what you usually write, Andrew :rainbowwild:

"I... I mean, I didn't... I didn't not do it to save you," Spike began.

Ah, Spike. Always the good guy :yay:

"Thank you," she said softly. She pushed her bowl of hay flakes aside. "I... I feel like I need to apologize to Shepherd, too."

"But that didn't happen," Spike said.

Myea, going that way... there's a whole world she needs to apologise to.

Wow, that was dark. It hit me in the feels. I don't blame Twilight for nearly snapping --and snapping Starlight -- but good thing Spike was there to keep her from actually doing through with it.

I do not remember the episode clearly, but Starlight was in the Lecture Hall when Twilight told the class how they initially became friends.
In the episode Twilight had a moment where she saw Starlight, but did a double take and she was gone.

IF Shepard was there, he would have noticed her right away as the Girls Knight and would have warned Twiight that she was there

This was pretty good! I'm biased since Starlight is my favorite part of the later seasons of MLP, but I hope this becomes the new template for your future stories.

Damn that was a fucked up HiE
