Well. This relationship definitely has potential, even if I’m not quite sure yet who exactly is more jealous of whom. But that’s siblings for you (well, adopted son respectively personal apprentice of one and the same princess, pretty much literally close enough for government work).
Looks like someone's enamoured with our young prince here. I know that it's going to happen, but I'll still be hoping against hope that he doesn't break her heart. This is so cute.

Minor nitpick:
I’m pretty sure that’s not actually a word, but we can all probably guess what should go there.
And while part of me reflexively finds the last couple of chapters a bit on the short side, I am definitely looking forward to seeing where this story will be going. This includes Trixie -- as annoying as she (or, I should probably say at this point, her older canon self) absolutely can be, she’s by no means a bad pony and definitely deserves better than to just be casually thrown to the alien monster prince by her parents.
I have always thought that Trixie had a lot of unrealized potential, which is why I made her a main character in one of my larger stories. I'll be interested to see where you take her.

I had inadvertently asked for a longer chapter and my man LISTENED! Oh, what a most joyous day this is. Another fun and wonderful chapter which does a lot with very little believe it or not.
I like Trixie to an extent I suppose, but IDK how I feel bout a potential relationship between these two. Like, it's sweet and endearing right now, but my favoritism for 'purple smart' outweighs any other option. I see Trix as a right-hand man, a best friend type of character personally, but who knows, you may be able to change that with this story. Can't say I'm much in the way of a future 'Herd' scenario given they are Anthros (but still ponies all the same) but this wouldn't be the first story I've read that involved such a thing, enough of my nitpicking ass and personal opinions.
Also, this line: "I need to be as good as her, at least. I won't be a downgrade!". Something bout that line, MMM, just hits so good that it made me re-read that scene 2 more times.
