I'm older than your average brony, but then I've always enjoyed cartoons. I'm an experienced reviewer, EqD pre-reader, and occasional author.

This story is a sequel to Author, Author!

Long ago, Princess Celestia took on a very important responsibility from Pinkie Pie: to keep their world going. She’d personally seen the toll it took on Pinkie, but she couldn’t allow any of her subjects to shoulder it. If only some higher authority could relieve her of this burden.

An entry in Imposing Sovereigns III, using the prompt Celestia/Integrity.

I can’t really imagine what comes after death but I don’t agonize thinking about what my existence, or lack thereof, was like before I was born. I like to believe the only ones burdened by the nature of their existence are the ones who know (Pinkie, Celestia, Luna, and soon to be Twilight) and that given enough imagination they may unburden themselves.

…or maybe these are still silly horse words and I’m getting too deep but regardless I feel something thinking about the possibility!

Thanks for the opportunity to think author! Your story makes me feel… someway I can’t really describe aside from interesting!

Poor Princess Celestia. If only she had access to TV Tropes, this whole thing would not be a problem at all.

Fascinating addendum to the original. It's amazing how we can bound by chains of our own making. But at the same time, who can blame Celestia? If she let herself reroll once, what's stopping her from doing it again? And again and again until she gets something she likes, at which point she may as well write "And everything was fine for another week" and be done with it. At least, that's how she sees it, but that mindset gets you yelling at your home-made Minority Report setup.

Lovely stuff. Thank you for it and best of luck in the judging.

I think Luna’s solution was both elegant and hopeful. Thanks

Thanks for reading! I don't expect it to do well, since I was fighting a severe lack of motivation all through writing it, but the event did give me the kick in the butt to finally write the final chapter to "Author, Author!" I've been meaning to for nearly 10 years. Shame I didn't do it back when I enjoyed writing more, and I'd given up on ever doing so, but the prompt fit it so well.
