Throughout most of his life, one question had been on Spike's mind since moving to Ponyville with Twilight. Who were his parents? It was something that he didn't think about too much, but was a question that happened to come back around whenever Twilight and her friends talked about family.
One day, a couple of dragons that claim to be sent by their queen arrive in Ponyville. At first glance, Spike thought that they were diplomats sent to discuss important matters with Twilight. Something that he doesn't usually take part in since he wasn't really experienced in such matters.
However, things take a bit of a different turn. For the dragons weren't looking for Twilight... They were looking for him.
It was about time I tried to write a story with Spike the dragon.
There's supposed to be a sad tag on this story but I have too much already.
And so it begins.....

I wonder if Luna happened to known about Spike's origin after she returned ruling or did Celestia kept it has a secret even from Luna?
Also, i know its chapter one, but I have to give props to Rarity--she cares for Spike and respects Princess Celestia's decree of the situation. I just hope that her confrontation with Twilight isnt because Twilight's possibly f'ing up a shot at being royalty herself. I'm assuming Spike still has a sizable crush on Rarity, so for her to realize Spike is a Prince is interesting.
Finally, i hope there is a way to save Queen Garnet--it sucks we just learn about her and she's dying. I want Spike to know about his birth mother a lot; he was robbed of learing about his father or siblings, the least he could have is to see his mom before se succumbs to the disease that took the rest of her family...
I think even though the story itself has many of the characters acting 'out of canon personality' the story addresses a lot of stuff that wasn't addressed in canon. So good job.

Twilight, face facts: Spike is not just your assistant that doubles as a test dummy; he's an creatures like you and me that his own ambitions and desires to follow, not to mention the many questions Spike has as a dragon in a primarily equine nation will manifest and is finally getting some of those answers...
Kinda want twilight to get messed up by the guards and knights. This is got story and I await mote.
