A boy steals a pair of Snow Leopard claws at Comic-Con and is transported to Equestria as a infant with no memory of his former self, Luna finds and raises him as her own and teaches him the many arts of Kung-Fu, only for him to betray her when he is denied what was rightfully his. Stopped by Celestia he is sent to Tartarus, a inescapable prison designed to hold the martial artist.
20 years later Luna has trained five of the greatest warriors Equestria has ever seen the Furious 5, each trained in their own style of Kung-Fu. Upon receiving a Frightening Vision Celestia beleives that it is time to find and train The Celestial Warrior, During the Selection a Unicorn Girl falls in front of Celestia
Luna having no faith in the girl begins to train her vigorously in hopes she quits so that the real Warrior may be choosen

We were basing Applejack and Mantis more off of strength; Mantis managed to hold a rope bridge with all of his friends and Tai Lung on it, and even whip the bridge to disorient Tai Lung, showing that despite his size, he's got some strength.
In the same vein, Applejack is often considered the strongest of the Mane Six, only behind Dash, and she and Dash are relied on the most for feats of combat or physical prowess.
Plus, when she was affected by Poison Joke in 'Bridle Gossip,' she was shrunk down to about Mantis' size. Personally, I thought casting her as the shortest one was a cute call-back to Apple-tini.

Ok. So, why is Rarity Monkey and Pinkie Pie Viper. It seems like it should be the other way around.
Pinkie/Monkey: energy, love pranks, defy logic.
Rairty/Viper: graceful, enjoy the finer things in life.
Fluttershy being Crane makes sense and not just because they can both fly. I could honestly see Fluttershy doing Crane's training regimen from Secrets of the Furious Five.

Wish I could say for sure, but Screwball666 is the main idea guy. I'm just making sure his story looks good.
Personally though, while Pinkie does make sense as Monkey, being energetic and loving pranks, I also found that since Viper was the nicer one to Po, it also made sense for Pinkie to be the nicest and more welcoming one to Twilight, as the minute they met in canon, Pinkie started setting up a welcome party for Twilight.
Monkey, on the other hand, was a little more reserved in the movie, and didn't get to show off his crazy side as much.
Though, I still do appreciate your feedback. Nice bit of trivia too; I did not know that Tigress and Twilight shared a voice actress. That's neat.
And as for Po and Tigress' ship, I'm not a romance guy, so I'll likely downplay their crush. There might still be plenty of moments that can ship them, but unless Screwball666 wants to push the romance, I'll likely try to focus on the action and characters.

They don't btw. Tara only voiced Young Tigress in SOTFF and possibly that flashback while talking about Tai Lung. She really only grunted a couple times in that so hard to tell. Lara Croft voices Tigress.
KO awesome chapter, Twilight’s first day of training went painfully well and some good advice from Master Celestia has given her the courage to keep trying to make a warrior out of herself. Although, I think she will have to hurry up her training when an old and dangerous Kung Fu Master is coming with a vengeance.
Is Luna referring to Sunset Shimmer, she is the only other unicorn student of Celestia I can think of

KO awesome final chapter, the ending was great and Twilight showed she is a fighting machine during the battle and she even managed to save Tai Lung from the mysterious evil man who was controlling him through his anger. Now the village is at peace once again!
