The Holon Mountain Incident

Holon. The Mysterious Island. Day.

Yveltal had been caught. After so much time and effort spent attempting to find the Destruction Pokemon, Rosa Maledicta finally had Yveltal in a Master Ball. Her goal was accomplished and that would bring her one step closer to realizing her ultimate goal. The Black Crusade.

Standing before her was Daybreaker, who was too late to stop this. The cocoon was broken and Yveltal officially had a Pokemon Trainer, albeit against its own will and acknowledgement of the Lich Queen. However, that didn't mean Daybreaker was too late to prevent Rosa from leaving with the Master Ball.

"Ah...my very first Pokemon. And what better option than Yveltal?" Rosa rubbed the Master Ball, pretending to show Yveltal care when that was truly not the case. "I'll be doing great things with Yveltal. After I make it comply, that is."

"Is that so? You clearly know about the efficiency of a Master Ball. But do you know what happens when a Poke Ball breaks?" Daybreaker questioned, getting a glaring reaction out of Rosa. Rosa knew. She knew very well what happens when a Poke Ball is destroyed. "I hope you have spares."

"Try and pry it off my cold, dead hooves, princess." Rosa Maledicta scoffed before unleashing massive thorns from the ground to stand on. She used them as her means of transportation and as a way to escape from Daybreaker. Rosa Maledicta preferred not to engage in battle with Daybreaker. Not when she had Yveltal at last.

Daybreaker looked up before feeling the ground shake from the thorns manipulating the area. Already, Rosa Maledicta also used her magic to open up a portal immediately, high up in the sky no less.

Daybreaker refused to let Rosa leave with such a Pokémon at her disposal. She immediately attacked the thorns, ignoring the tremor below by simply hovering over the ground. Out of her horn streams of flames raged out while moving in the motion of a sword.

Rosa's thorns were sliced apart by Daybreaker's flames before then being incinerated by them. Rosa was surprised to see that Daybreaker's flames could damage her thorns. But it didn't bother her too much. The Lich Queen still had the advantage of levitation, using her magic to carry her through the air.

However, even with levitation, as an alicorn, Daybreaker's flight speed surpassed most pegasi. All it took was her taking flight and zooming through the air for her to reach Rosa in seconds.

"Back up!" Rosa Maledicta protested, summoning a bouquet of flowers out of thin air. These flowers weren't just beautiful but explosive. That same paralytic mist from before came from them once they combusted. Daybreaker closed her eyes, putting up a blazing shield to protect her from the mist. Thanks to that, she could power through, meeting face-to-face with the Lich Queen.

Once she was finally close to Rosa, Daybreaker would try and go straight for the Master Ball first. Her hooves were first, going over Rosa's head. But of course, Rosa would intercept. She would block Daybreaker with her own hoof while Daybreakerr would do the same with her other hoof only for Rosa to retaliate yet again with a magical hold. Soon, they both entered a stalemate where neither side would let go. However, noticeably, Rosa's other hoof was withered as she chose not to use it. Any action could potentially shatter the hoof.

As for the portal, Daybreaker managed to keep Rosa from going upwards via her magic. The two of them entered a magical clash, fighting to overcome one another. It all depended on who had the greater magical force.

"I would be out of here by now if it weren't for you!" Rosa yelled before using her magic to pull the portal down

"You're just as foolish as my world's Rosa! Do you truly want a world where many are nothing but skeletons, just for some insane goal?! That sounds boring to me!"

"Say what you will! I'm getting too close! I've come too far to stop now!" Rosa then summoned more of those roses around Daybreaker's body. She was now surrounded by ticking time bombs with beautiful bouquets as the appearance. However, Rosa Maledicta wasn't getting any closer to the portal as Daybreaker was still keeping her down. Even the thorns were being held back by Daybreaker's flaming aura.

Right then and there, the roses blew up but it wouldn't be just around Daybreaker. Rosa Maledicta would be caught up in the explosions too as a blaze of energy went off in the sky. It was a mixture of Daybreaker's flames and the dark magic from Rosa Maledicta. The thorns below were incinerated and withered by these.

Holon Mountain Range.

But while that scuffle was ongoing, Reshiram was still dealing with these thorns. It was a long struggle that wasn't seeing a victor at all. Reshiram wasn't getting tired but those thorns wouldn't stop coming at all.

Reshiram got up from the rubble of mountains, looking up at the thorns which would not stop attacking at any cost. The Vast White Pokemon shook his head as he was aware too much time has passed by this point.

"It's no good. If this keeps up, I'll never reach her at all. Those thorns won't stop unless she's gone probably. And if not, only my blue flames can hold them back. But not for long. I need to do something about them."

Just as Reshiram was thinking about how to overcome these persistent thorns, it was then revealed that Daybreaker did not come alone. She was the one who mainly entered the island to pursue Rosa Maledicta. But she certainly didn't lack any firepower at the moment. Over at the distance, backup had shown up for Daybreaker's forces.

Through the clouds, large ships could be seen approaching. These ships belonged to Empress Twilight, of course, but they were currently alongside Daybreaker's forces. They all came here with the same goal. Stop Rosa Maledicta from obtaining Yveltal. But that was too late. And yet, it wasn't too late to stop her from leaving.

Opal Vivacity, the other vampires and the Trickster Dragon were still stuck in this spell that was redirected to them by Daybreaker's glare. Even the powerful Trickster Dragon struggled to reverse it since it originally came from it. But after a lot of trembling from its finger, it managed to redo the spell, breaking the control it had over them. The vampires could finally take a breather as their bones were no longer stuck.

"My beautiful mane. Oh!" Without even noticing yet, Opal Vivacity, despite her enhanced hearing, regenerated her mane after Daybreaker burned most of it. She gained the luscious and long flow once again before then focusing on the other sounds. "What now?!"

30 Ships showed up on this day, each piloted by a pony. The vampires were now outnumbered at this point as these ships blocked the sky. Reshiram was in the same boat as none of them were friendly. He was on his own compared to everyone else.

Once they showed up, they released magical beams from their ships to bombard this area. Rosa Maledicta was currently nearby and getting rid of her along with her vampires would lead to a stunning victory, no doubt. Those beams rained from the sky, attacking the cliffs and mountains. Reshiram put his hands over his wings before witnessing the giant thorns take the first hits.

The thorns were pierced by these magical beams before targeting the ships in the sky. Opal and the others would flee from the bombardment of magic to take cover. Of course, anywhere away from the Sun and the Blue Flame in the ground. The situation escalated greatly to the point where large forms of destruction were rapidly rising.

Settlements from afar noticed this. The main Holon Community, Settlement Foxtrot, Settlement Oscar and even the Holon Pyramind along with many more. They witnessed purple explosions go off in the distance, covering the skies with a new kind of ambience while the ships moved forward. With victory ready for the taking the winning side hoped to leave as soon as possible. Rosa had Yveltla after all. All she had to do was leave and that would be the end of that.

Reshiram on the other hand planned to make sure none of them would gain that victory. At this rate, this kind of destruction for just one Pokemon could worsen. And with how small of a region Holon was, it wasn't farfetched to believe that the settlements would suffer.

Refusing to let that happen, Reshiram would put everything into this next action phase. He knew what needed to be done. Figure out what to do with the thorns, reach the island and stop the ships. The thorns were already occupied by the ships in the sky which were constantly attacking it, so that was a good form of distraction.

Reshiram's eyes flashed blue before he then took the skies. He ascended as high as he could, breaking through the clouds while also creating a wind pressure so great that it would even make some of the ships shake. He then twirled in the sky before then gathering as much power as he could. Opal looked up, seeing a stream of flames envelop the Vast White Pokemon's body.

Whatever Reshiram was planning, it wouldn't benefit either side but him. Fearful of what was to come, especially with how hot the blue flames were, while in hiding from all the bombardment, Opal whispered to the Trickster Dragon, who was equally in danger due to the current scenario.

Right after gathering a huge helping of blue flames, Reshiram fires a powerful stream of light blue flames from his mouth with a large radius, enough to engulf many targets. Perfect for the ships and the thorns. The ponies within the ships looked up to see this azure light falling from above as the aggressive heat coming from it was already beginning to melt the ships without even reaching there yet. Even the thorns were being burned up via the heat alone. The vampires would especially feel the worst of it as even just looking at the flame harmed their bodies.

It looked like Reshiram would get multiple in one. But that would not be the case at all. The Trickster Dragon and Opal Vivacity had worked together to change that. All it took was a snap from the Trickster Dragon to send Opal Vivacity to a completely different position. And that position was up. With a sunhat and a coat protecting her from the Sun, the beautiful vampire appeared behind Reshiram.

It was a perfect mirror of how Rosa Maledicta caught Yveltal off guard. Now, Opal Vivacity did the same to Reshiram. By dropping some of her hair on the Vast White Pokemon's back, fate was changed. And with how large of a chunk it was, the effect was even greater.

This chunk was enough to affect Reshiram's attack. It ended up not only being shot back at the Dragon-Fire-Type but it ended up going off, hitting the wrong target. Reshiram was the target now as he was struck by his own attack. Opal Vivacity left behind a cruel smile, knowing what she had just done.

Reshiram was eclipsed by a blue explosion while Opal was safe, manipulating fate to the point where she would be untouched, as to be expected. The ships were equally threatened by the explosion in the sky with some of them losing parts from the azure heat. All of their attacks were put on hold just for this moment.

Out of the blue smoke, Reshiram fell. That Blue Flare did a number on it as his eyes were even almost whited out with a bit of blue being faintly seen. It took his own attack to do this to him, much like how his own Dragon Pulse was used against him.

Reshiram had been tricked once more and was in a potential state of fainting. He could hear the sound of Opal laughing before slowly blacking out. Reshiram growled, doing his best to stay conscious. That reflective attack did a number on him. But he certainly had one advantage. His Typing allowed him to resist the attack. He couldn't let Celestia and everyone else down. By now, he was probably thinking about what their reaction would be if he was to fall here. Letting out a spurt of flames from his mouth, Reshiram gained a second wind of energy to keep going. He put all of his strength into his wings, straining and growling before eyeing down the ground.

With his majestic roar captivating everyone's ears, the Vast White Pokemon recovered, hanging in there. He then spun his body while falling before swooping over the ground, saving himself from a devastating crash. Opal and the vampires all gasped, flabbergasted.

"Impossible! He should be down!" The vampires gasped before then receiving a wind pressure that came their way. Reshiram flew over them, carrying the vampires into the sky with his flight. The vampires screamed before having their protective clothing fly off, exposing them to the Sun. Reshiram continued flying, covering his body in an azure flame before then charging through the thorns.

The thorns attempted to stop him, only to be burnt away by Reshiram's flames and velocity alone. His next target was the Trickster Dragon who had enough power to change the odds. Reshiram knew that if he wanted a chance, the Trickster Dragon had to fall.

"Now hold on a-" The Trickster Dragon tried stopping Reshiram, only to be too late. The Dragon of Truth crashed into him. The Trickster Dragon made a comedic grimace from this impact with its eyes expanding. Its jaw and mouth dropped wide open as well. The Trickster Dragon even revealed a forked tongue before being launched by Rehsiram's impact. Even when being attacked, it spun around with humour, flailing around like a spaghetti noodle before then hitting one of the ships.

The ponies within the ship received an attack too with some of the ships bumping into each other. The weight of the Trickster Dragon was not to be ignored as the combined impact of the attack and its weight made these ships move. Reshiram then flew up, leaving behind a beautiful blue trail before then focusing on Opal Viviactiy, who was still up in the sky.

"Amazing...I'd expect nothing less from a Legendary Pokemon..." Opal Vivacity couldn't help but admire Reshiram's amazing power. Even after all that, he could make a resounding comeback against superior numbers, showing no signs of giving up at all. He truly had the spirit of a mighty Dragon. "However..."

But, Opal was not worried at all. Not with what she would do next. By simply poking herself with her mane, she changed fate yet again. Reshiram was too late to stop her as a white flash enveloped not just Opal's body, but even Reshiram's body. He closed his eyes when going into the light, fearing what could come next. But he had to tackle it head-on either way.

The Mysterious Island.

Speaking of another great scuffle, the explosion from before faded out. The portal in the sky was still there as it hadn't been closed yet. Rosa Maledicta was still here. Speaking of Rosa, she flew out of the smoke along with Daybreaker as neither of them suffered major damage. They were both still in one piece and looking healthy.

"Give it up! As long as I'm here, you won't get away!" Daybreaker exclaimed. "I'll burn you and that Master Ball to a crisp."

"Try it then. I'd even like to see your Pokemon take a swing at it." Rosa Maledicta taunted, even bringing up Necrozmoa, who she was aware of.

"Hmph." Daybreaker scoffed. Before she could take her next action, from above, those purple lighting bolts showed up. The Solar Empress switched her attention to the bolts as she reacted fast enough to fly away from them. Rosa would use these bolts as a means of distracting Daybreaker.

The Lich Queen levitated upwards while using the bolts to fend Daybreaker off. Constant crashes of lightning came from above, forcing Daybreaker to continuously fly out of the way. She even started using her magic to blast away at each lightning bolt that came her way while Rosa was getting closer to the portal. The thorns from before managed to gain new parts, rising up to boost Rosa Maledicta.

"So long~" Rosa whistled, believing that she would truly escape.

"You won't escape!" Daybreaker sliced apart the bolts with her horn. Her horn was covered by a blazing flame that had the right amount of power to do so as she was already catching up faster than what Rosa Maledicta wanted.

"Maybe not me...but this will!" Just then, Rosa Maledicta would turn around, leaving herself a bit wide open. Daybreaker took the chance to attack while she was facing the other direction, sending a flaming beam that tore through the thunderbolts and thorns that got in her way. At the same time, Rosa Maledicta would throw the Master Ball up at the portal.

Daybreaker gasped, soon seeing what Rosa Maledicta was going for. But it was too late to stop it now. The Master Ball had been pulled into the portal, entering another world. As for Rosa, she had been struck by Daybreaker's beam which ended up burning her malicious-themed clothing.

"Hahaha!" But even after being hit in the back by a devastating flame, Rosa Maledicta simply laughed while being knocked off her thorns and losing focus on her levitation. The portal above would soon diminish via Rosa's command. "No matter what...I always win, Daybreaker.

"Rosa!" Aggravated that the Master Ball got through, Daybreaker was unable to stop Rosa's success at all. In the end, Rosa Maledicta won. And this was further proven by the white light in the distance. The clash between Reshiram and Opal Vivacity grew to the point where it even reached this island. "?!"

Daybreaker and all the other Pokemon here would soon find themselves being overtaken by this approaching light. A massive flow of Rift Energy came from this which put a smile on Rosa Maledicta's face. After she put on that cocky and victorious smile, she was soon engulfed by the light along with everyone else

Only the Settlements were exempt from the light, witnessing the dazzle in the sky. Whatever happened next was yet to be seen. If it could be seen at all.

But as it stood, the Dread League had Yveltal. The first part of their plan was a success. After a fierce scuffle, it was the Lich Queen and her vampires that grasped the victory star.

And with the cost of many injured Pokemon and the destruction of the Holon Mountain Range and the Mysterious Island, this was known as The Holon Mountain Incident.

As the journey continues.
