Another sequel to Ash reminiscing certain movie events.

The Crystal Empire. Day.

"Jirachi's not based on any animal?" Flurry Heart and the others said while speaking to Ash.

"Yeah, sorry. I can't think of anything Jirachi really looks like." Ash shrugged with a grin. The matter involving Jirachi was still being discussed upon. Even after the previous days. They couldn't ignore such an important Pokemon that had the power to make both worlds remain together even if the Rift leaves.

"So much for Princess Celestia's plan." A sigh met Twilight. "It's fine. We can still work something out. My plan to find Jirachi's still a work in progress."

"Is Jirachi really going to be called towards that?" Rainbow Dash asked Twilight. "I mean, I know Mythical Pokemon are all secretive and don't trust many but..."

"It's all we can do for now. We just have to hope that it works. Unless there's another Pokemon that can bring Jirachi to us. Is there, Ash?"

"Uhh...nope." Ash thought about it for a moment. So did Pikachu. "Is there? I mean...Mewtwo's pretty great with Pokemon. Both of them. But then there's Volcanion. Boy, he's good."

"Pika-Pika."

"Who's Volcanion?" Flurry Heart asked.

"Oh, Volcanion. Yeah, I haven't told you all about him yet. Alright. Get around for this." Ash rubbed his hands together. Everypony nearby got in close as Ash was about to give out his and Pikachu's many wild adventures that still exist with their memories. "So, this is one that happened in Kalos. And boy, I'll tell ya, it's where Pikachu and I got to see a bunch of Mega Evolved Pokemon in one day."

"Pikachu."

5 years ago. Kalos Region.

So it all happened when we were going through Kalos. Pikachu and I were with Serena, Clemont and Bonnie back then. But then one day, Volcanion came crashing down out of nowhere. Turns out he was being chased down by some Pokemon Hunters. And those hunters had some kind of weird attaching device on them. It hit me and Volcanion and we were both stuck to each other for a while. And a lot happened with that. Especially since Volcanion and I didn't get along at first. Plus we also met a Magearna then. It went a little something like this.

"So. They call you Volcaion, don't they?" Ash spoke with his Kalos Pokemon next to him. Of course, Pikachu was on his shoulder. Behind him were Greninja, Talonflame and Noivern.

"Hm. And what if they do?" Volcanion spoke with a gruff voice before turning to Magearna The one Pokemon that he could trust and holds dear to his heart.

Magearna started speaking to the Steam Pokemon, trying to convince him that Ash and his Pokemon were friendly and safe to approach along with the rest of his friends. Volcanion just growled at that.

"Magearna. You really are a one of a kind Pokemon." Ash walked up to the Artificial Pokemon.

"Pika."

"Magearna. Everything okay?" Ash asked. The Steel-Fairy-Type replied with a confirmation cry. "My name's Ash. And this is my pal Pikachu."

"Pika-Pikachu." Pikachu greeted as Magearna greeted back.

"Nice to meet you too." Ash held his hand out for a handshake, only for Volcanion to use one of his cannons to push Ash away from her. "Doh!"

"Don't touch it!" Volcanion exclaimed before aiming his cannon at Ash and Pikachu. He was clearly defensive when surrounding Magearna. He tried firing a blast of water, only for steam to come out instead as the blue lights around his cannons turned red.

This was because Volcanion needed a supply for his all water to recharge. He couldn't just shoot out an endless amount. Luckily, there was a nearby river for him to refill himself. He placed his cannons in the river, using them to absorb the water. Much like a vacuum, they automatically gravitated towards his cannons.

"Hey. What are you doing?" Ash asked, curious.

"I can't blast anything without water," said Volcanion.

"Oh, you can't?" Ash replied.

"Pika."

"Don't worry. Those guys show up again, we'll chase them away." Ash was referring to the Pokemon Hunters as Volcanion closed his eyes.

"I don't need help from humans," Volcanion replied. Ash wasn't sure how to respond as Pikachu hopped off his partner's shoulder to have a word in.

"Pika-Pika!"

"Stay out of this, electric nuisance!" Volcanion snapped at Pikachu surprisingly.

"Pika?!" Pikachu didn't take too kindly to that as he started going off at the Fire-Water-Type. "Pika-Pika! Pikachu!"

After that rant, Volcanion's cannons had been recharged, turning blue as an indication. He removed them from the river, walking over to Pikachu with loud footsteps. Pikachu then backed up. "Listen up! I'll tell you just once. I will never trust humans!" He then glared over at the rest of Ash's Pokemon as they were cautious and ready for an attack. "And Pokemon like you posing up to humans, I don't trust them either!"

"Pika-Pika...!" Sparks of electricity could be seen emerging and crackling from Pikachu's red sacs. Anyone that would insult his friends would be a target of him.

"You pipsqueak." He then aimed his cannons at the Mouse Pokemon. "Wanna fight?!" With that threat, all of Ash's Pokemon readied up to challenge Volcanion.

"Come on. Everybody just calm down now." Ash said, trying to dismantle the situation. Magearna came over to do the same thing, trying to convince Volcanion.

Yeah, we weren't the best of friends, that's for sure. Being attached didn't make it any better. It took us a while. But, Volcanion and I got to understand each other. Even when we were stuck. Clemont tried a few things to get it off, but that thing was glued to us both.

"You seem to always have the most unique relationships with Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, don't you?" Rarity said.

"Yeah. That happens a bunch. But it always works out in the end." Ash chuckled. "Volcanion was the toughest to be around by far."

"I really wanna see it." Flurry Heart sighed. Luckily, Mew could grant that wish. The New Species Pokemon had suddenly started glowing with everyone's attention focused on him.

Just like that, Mew had become a Volcanion right in front of everyone's eyes.

"Yeah. Like that." Ash pointed at Mew. "But he had like a really big frown on his face, like a bunch. He only ever smiled when Magearna was happy. So anyway. Eventually, we got free from that device thanks to Clemont's awesome science stuff." He continued the story.

So, later, Volcanion showed us a special place called the Nebel Plateau. A place where Volcanion allowed every Pokemon to be safe. That's when me and Volcanion started understanding each other on that day. And I have Pikachu to thank for that.

"What?" Volcanion spoke as Ash had brought over some food for him.

"I brought Poke Puffs. Serena and Kimia made them," said Ash.

"Pika."

"Oh?" Ash and Pikachu then noticed a Gulpin poking its head out of the view of Volcanion's leg. After seeing Ash, it immediately hid back, squealing.

"Gulpin!"

"You were surprised back there, weren't you?" Volcanion said to Gulpin. "He just didn't understand. Please. Forgive him." At this time, Ash and Volcanion had reached a mutual understanding. Volcanion saw Ash in a different light. Even if he was still sceptical.

"Gul."

"Sorry, Gulpin." Ash kneeled, facing the Poison-Type.

"Pikachu."

"Gul...Gulpin." After looking at Ash for a bit, Gulpin could see that there was nothing to fear from him. Especially with that never-changing smile on his face.

"This little one came here after being abandoned by its trainer," said Volcanion as Ash and Pikachu gasped afterwards. "We don't know if anything happened before that. He doesn't tell me and I don't ask. The only thing I know is that right before its trainer left, he gave Gulpin a vacant heart. All of the Pokemon here have been wounded by the selfishness and lies of humans. They may be laughing now, but their wounds have been deeply wounded. And that's the reason I can't trust humans." He then turned to Ash as all the Pokemon were playing with Serena, Clemont and Bonnie's Pokemon. "Pokemon are incapable of lying. But humans are. And do."

"Pika!" Pikachu had something to say about that as he hopped off of Ash's shoulder. "Pika-Pika!" He started telling Volcanion that humans and Pokemon are capable of making the same mistakes. He also mentioned how Ash was a massive exception from all of them.

"Really? This one doesn't lie?" He looked at Ash.

"Pika! Pikachu! Pika-Chu!"

"He fights with all he has to protect the ones he loves." Volcanion translated.

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu nodded as he would defend Ash to the bitter end. No slander will pass by towards the Trainer that showed him all the love in the world.

"Thank you for that," Ash said to his partner. "You're right."

"Pikachu."

"Both of you are spewing nothing but flowery sentiments." But Volcanion was still in denial. He then took a moment to lower his tone after what he had said. "I'm sorry. Before the others get used to you, I want you to leave. Though I'm very grateful for what you did for Magearna and Amaura."

"Here." Ash then placed the plate of Poke Puffs down. "Go ahead and eat." He and Pikachu then backed away, allowing Volcanion to snack away. The Steam Pokemon looked at the Poke Puffs for a bit, then at Ash. He then gave one last stare to the Poke Puffs before taking a huge bite out of them.

"Hm." He savoured the taste, taking in all that the puffs had to offer. "Mmm. Not bad."

"If ya like it, then why don't you say ya like it?" Ash asked.

"Hmph. Eat. Both of you." Volcanion encouraged Gulpin and a nearby Litwick to eat the Poke Puffs after he enjoyed them. They gladly did so as Litwick took one puff. Gulpin, however, opened its mouth wide, devouring most of the Poke Puffs in one bite.

"Cool. But when does the awesome stuff happen?" A colt asked as all the younger ponies were eager to hear about the action mostly.

"Yeah! When?" They all started asking Ash. While the story about him bonding with Volcanion was nice to listen to, most of them are all in it for the amazing things Ash has done. Since he is such a massive inspiration to them and one of the few examples of a hero, it was only natural that the more exciting stories are what they really cared for.

"You wanna skip right ahead to when things went wild?"

"Uh-huh!" They all exclaimed.

"Alright, alright. So. Here's what happened next. Well...actually. This one's from Pikachu's point of view since he was there on the outside. I was on the inside. You remember, right buddy?"

"Pikachu!"

So, these hunters had these things called Mega Braces. It's what made them force the Pokemon to Mega Evolve. A bunch of Mega Pokemon showed up to the plateau, just to destroy everything and get Magearna.

Emerging to the scene was almost every Mega Evolved Pokemon out there, minus the Legendary Pokemon and a few others. Aggron, Pidgeot, Tyranitar, Swampert, Houndoom, Steelix, Beedrill, Sharpedo and more.

"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu was currently on Talonflame's back as he was also flying beside Noivern and Hawlucha. Greninja had taken a ride on Noivern's back.

"Alakazam!" Mega Alazakam levitated in the air with its amazing Psychic powers which were already amazing enough. But with Mega Evolution, they had been boosted. So much so that it could carry the rest of the Pokemon off the ground with levitation, allowing them to fly. Sharpedo was sent flying through the air, attempting to bite Pikachu and the others, only to end up missing.

"Shar!"

After evading that, Talonflame flew under a massive rock connected to a building as right around the corner, Swampert was waiting. "Pert!" Swampert almost struck both Pikachu and Talonflame, but Talonflame's advantage in the air helped greatly.

He flew past a Pidgeot as a Glaile was incoming. Pikachu had a response to that via Thunderbolt. While on Talonflame, the Mouse Pokemon had shocked the Face Pokemon with 100,000 volts. "Chuuu!" Not only that, after shocking Glalie, he also shocked the same Sharpedo that came by, dealing super-effective damage.

As for Greninja and Noivern, Steelix went to try and bite them with its massive mouth, only to be evaded. "Ninja?" Greninja then noticed Beedrill coming up next, using its massive stingers to charge right in.

"Beedrill!" Beedrill came flying in like a rocket, but Greninja had jumped off of Noivern, causing Beedrill to miss them both as Noivern swooped down.

"Ninja!" Greninja then landed on the ground, evading an incoming Dark Pulse from Mega Salamence the moment he descended. Such quick instincts and reaction time.

"Sala! Sala!" Salamence didn't let up. It continuously fired Dark Pulse's over at Greninja to try and catch him. Greninja ran across the ground, dodging each pulse that came his way. He moved through the explosive smoke, creating water kunais. The Ninja Pokemon then slashed Salamence in the face with both of them.

"Greninja!"

"Camerupt!" Camerupt came long to try and bite Greninja. The Water-Dark-Type jumped off after giving Salamence a good slash. Before Camerupt could do something, Noivern used Boomburst to halt the Eruption Pokemon. "Rupt!"

"Noivern!" Noivern flew out of the smoke with Tyranitar roaring at it. Tyrantiar used Stone Edge, stomping on the ground to summon multiple floating purple rocks as they were sent towards Noivern. The Sound Wave Pokemon started evading by spinning in the air.

"Pika...Chuuu!" As for Pikachu, he had jumped off Talonflame as his body blocked the sun. The Mouse Pokemon landed on the ground before unleashing a massive Thunderbolt that had shocked every nearby Pokemon in his line of fire. Glalie, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Banette and Aggron received the full force of Pikachu's electricity.

As for Volcanion, he wasn't left out of the action. Steelix looked up to see an incoming Steam Pokemon charging downwards like a raging rocket. And with the force of a rocket, Volcanion tackled Steelix, knocking the Mega Evolved Iron Snake Pokemon off balance.

He made his landing by spinning as Hawlucha moved out of the way. After arriving, Volcanion used Steam Eruption as his eyes and body glowed light blue. An orb of water then formed in between the two cannons on its back and exploded, creating a massive blast around Volcanion.

These giant blasts had struck every Mega Evolved Pokemon continuously. No one was spared from Volcanion's attack. And he followed up with one last attack. Fire Blast. He summoned a symbol of fire before striking Steelix with it.

After that, me and the others ended up showing up to help. Along with one of our new friends Kimia and her Gardevoir. We were trying to stop someone named Alva from taking control of the Azoth Kingdom. Things went wild since Magearna was the main focus through it all. And her Soul Heart.

"What's a Soul Heart?" Pinkie asked as Mew transformed himself into a Magearna.

"It's Magearna's ability. But also its heart." Ash went up to Mew, pointing at the heart in the middle that resembled a Poke Ball. "It's what keeps Magearna going. It may be artificial, but it's still its heart. We did a lot to protect it. The one who made Magearna wanted that heart to keep going on. So Volcanion and all of us did everything we could to save it. And we did. Boy, it wasn't easy. Magearna suffered a lot until we had to save her."

"Her heart. Why does it look like a Poke Ball?" Twilight asked. "Or is it unexplainable like Voltorb and Electrode?"

"Oh, yeah. About that. You see, Magearna's practically one big Poke Ball. Made 500 years ago, so it's kinda like the first Poke Ball. How neat is that?"

"This is what Poke Balls used to look like?" Rainbow Dash squinted at the Soul Heart.

"No, but I think this inspired them." Ash shrugged. "Either way, it's important to Magearna. It's like our hearts, ya know."

"Well, that Mega Evolution part was cool!" The young ponies started chattering. Clearly, their favourite part was that Mega Evolution section that Pikachu had told with Fluttershy translating. However, some did find excitement with Volcanion. "Is there something else like that?!"

"What happened after? Did you and Volcanion become good friends?!"

"Yeah. We're good friends now. Along with Magearna. We wrapped everything on that day. And as for Volcanion and Magearna. Well..."

After an adrenaline-pumping rescue for Magearna, Volcanion was on the ground, damaged after all that had happened. He seemed more than just unconscious. Desperate to save her friend, Magearna produced flowers from her arms. The pollen got in Volcanion's nose and made him sneeze, reviving it much to everyone's delight.

But after that, goodbyes were made. Especially with Ash and Volcanion, who had the rockiest relationship at the beginning. But not anymore.

"You know what...I'm going to make you all honorary Nabel Plateau Pokemon." Volcanion said to them all.

"Honorary Pokemon?" Ash repeated, sounding confused.

"Oh! That sounds really cool!" Serena exclaimed as she understood it.

"Yeah! I wanna be one!" Bonnie repeated excitedly. The single Zygarde Cell, otherwise known as Squishy as a nickname, popped out of the bag in response. "Yep. Right, Squishy?"

"Well, I'm happy to accept. It's a real honour." And Clemont had something to say as well. All the Pokemon then cheered afterwards, welcoming this group of humans and trusting them. They had certainly built a bond after this.

"Pika!" Pikachu then hopped off Ash's shoulder, rushing over to Volcanion and the others as did Dedenne. Pikachu jumped around, thanking the rest of the Pokemon around Volcanion. "Pika! Pika-Pika!

"Hey. Electric nuisance." Volcanion grabbed his attention. "Your friend Ash. He always seems to be getting himself into trouble. Take extra good care of him."

"Pika? Pika!" And with that, the relationship between Ash and Volcanion had reached its peak. No longer did resent each other or get on each other's nerves. Now, their relationship is the equivalent of two best friends who can't stop arguing all the time. A perfectly swell bond as Pikachu promised.

"Pika! Pikachu!"

"Yeah. I think that's all I got." Ash pondered. "Guess this one was a bit tamer than the ones I've told before. Or maybe it was wilder. What do you guys think?"

"Mega Evolution is intense...but that Kyurem and Keldeo story wasn't too bad," Spike said.

"You told Sweetie Belle and the others about the whole Temple of the Sea scenario. Anything underwater is already fairly intense." Rarity nodded.

"Is there more?" A colt asked.

"Oh yeah. I've got lots more stories! There's more from Kalos, Sinnoh, Unova, Johto, and way past that. You're not gonna be bored when I tell you the rest."

"Oooh! Can we hear the rest now?!" The foals pleaded.

"Yeah! Can we?!" Flurry Heart stood up as she was acting like them now.

"Another time. I've got some stuff to do." Ash chuckled. "Plus, I think I know who can help us find Jirachi now. All the way back at Unova. You thinking what I'm thinking Twilight?"

"Trixie?" Twilight repeated.

"Right on. Let's go!" Ash stood up, ready to head to Unova with his friends to further advance the whole Jirachi quest.

"Pikachu!"

Truly, Ash had lots of stories to tell. To the youth and even to the elders. There was something for everyone Whether it's under the sea against a pirate, being chased down by living ice and the World's Strongest Dragon or even having to deal with multiple rampaging Mega Evolutions, Ash's adventures are never dull, much like his extravagant dream to become a Pokemon Master as the journey continues.

Okay I would like to point out that the forme you’re thinking of is Zygarde Core not Zygarde Cell.
