The 18 Realms. Normal Realm.

The Normal Realm. The most number of trainers could be found within this realm. Mayor Mare, Amethyst Star, Vinyl, Octavia, Berry Punch and practically almost every resident in Ponyville were here. Each of them owned a Normal-Type which was fitting due to how common they were.

The location they were in was a mixture of Pallet Town and Ponyville. As if they both weren't comfortable and cosy enough, now that they had merged, it made it look like the ultimate town. Anyone would be satisfied living here.

Everypony explored the area with many of them entering homes that they already owned. But with some extra stuff added in there due to the addition of human houses. Speaking of extra, due to this being a combined town, both Professor Oak's lab and Twilight's lab. They were now conjoined to make a singular lab while the castle remained the same.

So did Town Hall as Mayor Mare plus her Stoutland were in it. Amethyst Heart too as they were admiring the new view. They had to wonder who's mind thought about this. They were both thinking that it could be either Ash, Twilight, Celestia or Luna's mind. But judging from its appearance, it was most likely either Ash or Twilight so Celestia and Luna were ruled out.

"Hm. If this were to happen in reality, I would call it..." Mayor Mare was already coming up with the name, thinking of something perfect. "Pony Town? Palletville? No-no-no. Those are just redundant." But she couldn't find a perfect name for it. At least not yet. "Then again, Granny Smith might not like the name change."

"It does look nice, actually." Amethyst Star agreed as Octavia entered the Town Hall. "Maybe this is a show of the far future, don't you think. Hope it doesn't get too overcrowded though. Especially for the rooms."

"Oh, you should see mine," Octavia spoke. "It's amazing! I'm not sure who thought about it but that room looks to be my dream room. I might have to work harder with my songs if I want to purchase all of that."

"Speaking of rooms, where do you sleep, Mayor?" Amethyst asked.

"Good question. This is just a Town Hall after all. And this seems to be the only room here." Octavia agreed.

"Right. That does seem odd, doesn't it? I did have a nearby home but everyone was soon swapped with the Town Hall. There was a nice family that came by and there weren't enough houses yet, so I gave them mine and decided to live here instead."

"Makes sense." Amethyst and her Skitty nodded in unison. Family comes first. Even if...it's not your family."

"Mhm. Though, if I were to have a family, the worst-case scenario is retiring from my work to take care of them. Not sure I could do that." Octavia shook her head.

"Who said you have to?" Amethyst nudged her. "You can do both at the same time, no problem. Sure, it'll take steal some time, but eh. Didn't stop my parents from doing what they love."

"You have a point. Though it is strange how few ponies have families here in Ponyville. Canterlot has us outclassed." Octavia then pondered, thinking of every Ponyville resident and their families. "Some are even slightly older than us as well. It would be odd if I had one before."

"Come to think of it, mayor. You're older than most of us. And you don't have a family or anything yet."

"Ah!" Mayor Mare froze on the spot after receiving that comment from Amethyst Star. "W-Well...you see...about that..." She stammered, finding it hard to send out the proper words. "It's complicated!"

"Sure." But Octavia and Amethyst doubted that heavily as their eyes averted elsewhere. Amethyst and Octavia heard some rumbling in the skies as a flash of azure lights went off. But so far, Mayor Mare hadn't sensed it at all.

"Ahem!" Mayor Mare then cleared her throat, trying to stray away from this current topic. "I-In any case, let's keep searching for a way out of here. There has to be something."

"Uh...Mayor..." Amethyst nudged Mayor Mare as she and the others had their attentions gathered elsewhere. There was a different focal point. The main focal point was both the Giga Lucario flashing in the sky every few seconds and the Pokemon that were being controlled by the Shiny Gardevoir who were ready to attack everyone that had entered this realm.

Led by a Kommo-o that jumped into the fray, a group of Clawitzer, Hitmonchan, Lopunny and a Blastoise had been seen. And joining them were two Ethereal Lucario that were under the Giga Lucario's orders.

"Where'd they come from?!" shouted Berry Punch, opening the window to her home within a mind.

"Kommo-o!" As soon as they arrived, the Pokemon wasted no time. The Pokemon approached the ponies immediately with the intent to mostly keep them away from Ash. Mostly because Gardevoir was seeking Ash's Aura and she wanted no chance for his friends to get in her way.

They approached every building that they could, alarming the ponies. Immediately, the Clawitzer had each fired water from their massive howitzers, blasting the buildings with high amounts of water pressure.

The water went through the walls of the buildings easily as Cherilee stood there, frozen in shock. The blast of water had passed her, making parts of her mane wet in the process as she took some time to process it. After that, she started screaming.

The Lopunny used their destructive kicks to break into some of the buildings. Alongside her were a majority of the students from the Ponyville Schoolhouse that she taught. They also started screaming as they were fittingly inside of the Ponyville Schoolhouse.

They attempted to leave the area, only for a Hitmonchan to appear right in front of them in the blink of an eye. Two Hitmonchan to be exact.

"What's going on?! Is this a part of this mind place?!" Silver Spoon screeched as many weren't sure what was happening. One minute they're being attacked by different Pokemon while a gigantic Lucario face that was full of nothing but Aura hoves in the azure sky, flashing in the same way as a thunderstorm.

Already, it was pandemonium here in this combined town. Even though this all took place in a mental realm, there was still a sense of danger. And after all, they were still unaware of how this place worked.

"Wait, is this all real?" The little pegasus Featherweight asked, unsure if any of this was dangerous considering how their real bodies were still outside. That's when his question got most of them to think the same thing.

"Hey yeah." Another child by the name of Twist replied. "Is it?"

Cherilee then looked at her mane, seeing how bits of it had been lost. Considering that the attack managed to do that, Cherilee already had her answer. And this was further confirmed the moment Hitomnchan punched the air, making a slight shockwave.

"It's very real children! Look out!" Cherilee pushed the foals aside, ducking for cover as the air shockwave broke through the seats of the Ponyville Schoolhouse. Both Clawitzer and Hitmonchan then approached the students and the teacher. "Now's a good time as any to help!"

Cheerilee quickly took out her Poke Ball, throwing it. Out of the Poke Ball emerged the Ballon Pokemon Wigglytuff. Upon descending, she had taken the incoming hit that Clawitzer and Hitmonchan delivered. A Mach Punch and a Crabhammer.

"Wigglytuff!" She cried out as her balloon-like body had then bounced Hitmonchan and Clawitzer away, showing her great defence.

"Whew..." Cherilee sighed as Hitmonchan instantly recovered. Her attention was quickly drawn back to the Punching Pokemon before standing upright. "Hold on! Let's try and settle this peacefully!"

"Hitmon?"

"There...a moment of peace." Cherilee smiled before hearing a nearby explosion from another Pokemon. "Almost. I don't know why but...how come you're suddenly attacking us? And have you always been here?"

"Hitmonchan." Hitmonchan then stood upright, speaking to Wigglytuff and Cherilee. Surprisingly, Hitmonchan did not instantly resort to action after recovering. It took the time to listen to her.

"What's it saying, Ms Cherilee?" Silver Spoon asked.

"Fluttershy gave me tips on how to speak Pokemon. Or at least translate through mannerisms." The teacher then began observing Hitmonchan's mannerisms to try and understand it. This was a useful skill to have considering how Pokemon are common now and the majority if not all of them act similarly to humans and ponies.

"It seems as if someone sent them for us." Cherilee squinted. "To test us?"

"Oh, so they're not gonna hurt us? Sweet." Twist grinned.

"No-no. They'll still hurt us, Twist." Cherilee replied. "But at least we know we can be harmed in this place. Even if it's in a mind. And we're just targets now it seems."

"Wiggly!" Wigglytuff yelled Hitmonchan, berating it for trying to harm her Trainer and the students. Unfortunately, that scolding did little to stop Hitmonchan. Especially Clawitzer, who was rushing in with Aqua Jet. "Tuff?"

"Claw!" Catching Wigglytuff off guard, Clawitzer had smashed into Wigglytuff, knocking her away. But there was still some rebound as the Ballon Pokemon flew towards Cherilee and the others. The teacher and her students ducked as Wigglytuff bounced on the floor, not causing any cracks due to how bouncy she was.

"Hitmon!" Hitmonchan then approached the students and teachers, moving at blitzing speeds. The Punching Pokemon looked like it was about to smash its fists into each of them. Cherilee kept the children close to her as they all closed their eyes.

"Glameow, help!" Hiding out her Poke Ball was Silver Spoon as she called for the assistance of her partner Glameow. Glameow responded, emerging out of the Poke Ball.

"Glameow!" And once she appeared, she had used Slash to block Hitmonchan's incoming Mach Punch, saving everyone from harm. "Meow!" Glameow had then used Play Rough, jumping onto Hitmonchan's arm before dragging the Fighting-Type into a cloud of pink Fairy Magic.

"Quick! Go-go-go!" Cherilee made the conscious decision to leave the schoolhouse before it potentially comes crashing down on them. Glameow managed to temporarily hold Hitmonchan back as she and Wigglytuff followed the others.

Clawitzer immediately gave chase, using Aqua Jet to do so. The group left the Ponyville Schoolhouse as Clawitzer burst through the windows.

"Wigglytuff, use Sing!"

"Tuff!" Wigglytuff then turned around, facing the incoming Clawitzer. "Wiiigglytuuuf...Wiggly..." She then started singing a calming melody, sending it in the direction of Clawitzer.

"Cla-" Immediately, once it touched the Howitzer Pokemon, the momentum and speed of Aqua Jet had died down as it then fell to the ground. Thanks to Wigglytuff's attack, Clawitzer was dozing off. They were at least free of that one issue. But there were still more.

"Hey!" Berry Punch and her Skowvent jumped out of the window of their home, narrowly evading a devastating kick from a Lopunny. They fell on their backs as Skwovet nearly dropped all of its berries.

"Lo!" Lopunny jumped out of the windows, delivering a dropkick from above.

"Skwovet, quick! Spit Up!" Berry Punch screeched, panicking as she frantically shook her hoof.

"Skwo...vet!" Skwovet utilized all of the berries that it had stuffed within its cheeks as weapons. Rapid-fire berries came flying out, all having different flavours as they bombarded Lopunny mid-air.

"L-Lopun!" Lopunny cried out as it was knocked out of the air, falling to the ground from all those incoming berries. Some spicy berries got in its eyes, making the Rabbit Pokemon grimace.

"Come on! While it's down and out!" Berry said to Skwovet as they both ran for it. However, instantly getting in their way was a Blastoise. Certainly one of the bigger and heavier Pokemon here as it also had access to Aura Sphere.

"Blastoise!" Upon arriving in front of Berry Punch and Skwovet, Blastoise aimed its cannons at them both. Its cannon were charging up Aura Sphere. Times two. Berry Punch and Skwovet then quickly ran to the side, straying away from Blastoise.

However, Blastoise simply turned around, already having a sharp eye on both of them. The two Aura Spheres had then been fired, however, they didn't hit the Trainer and her Pokemon. Instead, they had blown up behind them once they hit the ground.

That much was enough to certainly knock them away. Berry Punch and Skwovet went flying as they held onto each other, closing their eyes while screaming. "Gyaaah!"

"Sk-Skowvet!"

"Fur!" Thankfully, they landed on something fluffy. Or someone fluffy. That someone was Furfrou. Rightfully belonging to Octavia Melody. Furfrou caught them both successfully.

"Oh...Thank you..." Berry said, relieved. But it wasn't over yet. And that was shown by Furfrou jumping out of the way once Blastoise fired a Water Pulse from its cannon. "Wah!" Berry yelped after the initial jump which threw her relieved heart off guard.

And pursuing after them was the Lopunny that had been hit with berries previously. It was visibly aggravated about that as it started jumping from building to building to gain better speed. As for Blastoise, it got into its shell, using Rapid Spin. By spinning around within its shell, using this attack, Blastoise was moving much faster than it would on foot.

Blastoise also started shooting water from its cannons while spinning as it flew everywhere, hitting buildings and damaging them in the process.

"Lopunny!" Lopunny then leapt off another building, ready to use Aura Sphere. The Rabbit Pokemon stuck its foot out, summoning a sphere of Aura as it was kicked towards its targets.

"Furfrou! Retaliate with Uproar!" Octavia ordered.

"Fur!" Furfrou quickly turned around, holding its breath in before unleashing a mighty soundwave that was enough to keep anyone awake and prevent sleep. The soundwave clashed with the Aura Sphere for a bit. Both attacks cancelled each other out as Furfrou kept running afterwards.

"Blastoise!" Blastoise then barged through the buildings in its spinning shell. And each time it used Rapid Spin, its speed increased. It eventually reached the air with all of its speed, zooming past Lopunny. Blastoise looked like it was going to crash right into the group from the way it was angled.

"Ex...PLOUD!" But, stopping the Shellfish Pokemon was a mighty roar from Vinyl's Exploud. The greater sound wave travelled through the atmosphere, blowing both Blastoise and Lopunny away.

Speaking of Vinyl, she waved in their direction after she and Exploud saved them. That soundwave managed to give them all enough space thanks to how potent Exploud's voices were.

Octavia's group soon met up with Cherilee's group who were currently running from many Hitmonchans and Lopunny. One could punch hard and the other could kick hard. Definitely a dangerous combination.

"Here! In here!" Calling from them afar was Mayor Wave who was right next to Vinyl. She was at Town Hall still, pointing her hoof to the indoors, indicating that they should hide.

But they had to lose the opposing Pokemon before doing so. That's where Vinyl sent out another one of her Pokemon. Noivern.

"Noivern!" The Sound Wave Pokemon had emerged. And without Vinyl needing to say anything, just a simple hoof point, Noivern knew what to do. "Vern! Noi...!"

Noivern had used Hurricane, spinning on the spot to summon a fierce whirlwind. Dust had also been summoned because of this as the hurricane was starting to tower over most of the buildings. And as a bonus, the Hitmonchan were weak to this attack so it would do wonders.

"Vern!" Noivern then unleashed the Hurricane as a massive dust cloud was beside it. And to increase its ferocity, the Sound Wave Pokemon used Boomburst on it. The Hitmonchan, Lopunny and other Pokemon promptly stopped their movements once they came across this obstacle. The giant dust cloud is what got to them first, blocking their vision.

And the Hurricane added to that, pulling some of the opposing Pokemon in with its violent turbulence. The Hitmonchan suffered the most from this as they took super-effective damage left and right from this attack. The other Pokemon not so much but it stung either way.

"Nice! Way to go, DJ-P0N3! Noivern." Silver Spoon and the others cheered at Vinyl and Noivern.

"Noi-Noi."

And yet, despite that impressive combo, there was one massive obstacle that they all didn't forget about but hadn't encountered yet. The strongest out of these Pokemon.

Kommo-o.

The Hitmonchan had fainted from the Hurricane and dust, unable to battle as the Lopunny and Clawitzer would soon end up the same. However, something moved at surprisingly quick speeds, cutting the hurricane in half. Kommo-o did, by using Dragon Claw.

The Hurricane then had an outburst after being cut in half, sending everyone within it flying in different directions. But not Kommo-o. Everyone gasped, witnessing the raw power of this Dragon-Type Pokemon at display.

"Ko!" Kommo-o roared before landing on the ground. It made the ground tremble just from doing that. Furfrou and everyone else were almost thrown off balance, but they kept moving. Vinyl's glasses almost came off too.

"Wigglytuff, Disarming Voice!"

"Wiggly!" Wiggly tuff then opened her mouth, unleashing a pink sound wave that was excellent on both Fighting and Dragon-Type Pokemon, which, Kommo-o was.

Vinyl ordered for both her Pokemon to use Boomburst to add to that sound power. Noivern and Exploud both unleashed a mighty sound wave that flew alongside Dismaring Voice.

"KOMMO!" But Kommo-o quickly retaliated with its own sound. It also had Boomburst but not only that, Clanging Scales, just to boost that sound power. The Scaly Pokemon combined these sounds together before making a stronger soundwave.

Strong enough to break through the opposing soundwaves and head towards the group. Everyone gasped as the Boomburst and Clanging Scales combo was the one to throw them off their balance. Furfrou fell over, dropping Berry Punch and Skwovet whilst Noivern was knocked out of the sky.

"Ow..." Berry and the others groaned as their momentum had ended. Each of them were on the ground as Kommo-o was approaching rapidly. The Scaly Pokemon had Aura Sphere prepared and ready for usage, holding it in its claws as it leapt into the air.

"Stoutland, Giga Impact!" Mayor Mare commanded.

"Stout...Land!" Stoutland quickly came to everyone's rescue, leaping off the ground with a high spurt as an invisible aura emerged around him, forming into a white trail afterwards. Stoutland has crashed right into Kommo-o, interrupting its Aura Sphere.

"K-Ko!" Kommo-o gasped as it was sent flying once the energy of Giga Impact blew up right in front of it. Thanks to Stoutland, the fierce Kommo-o had been launched to a far distance, allowing for everyone to get some more breathing space and a place to hide.

Stoutland descended after the initial crash. Kommo-o could be seen hurling through the air before landing nearby the outskirts of this fusion town. "Stout!"

"Hurry! Before they wake up!" Mayor Mare exclaimed as all of them got up, running off to the Town Hall as fast as they could. Once inside, they used the same room that everyone used when the invasion took place. Even within a mind this location still existed.

The hatch to the room had been opened as there was a moment of silence at last. None of the opposing Pokemon had shown up here yet. as everypony had entered it. Mayor Mare was the last to enter as she closed the hatch door.

---

Reality. Equestria. Ponyville. Afternoon.

Meanwhile, on the outside, Derpy was also facing a similar scenario in the real world while mostly everyone was in a state of mind. Team Rocket had previously piloted their Tangrowth machine that stole everyone's Pokemon, using it to attack Derpy and her Wooper.

"Oops!" Derpy ascended into the air, just avoiding the arms of the mechanical Tangrowth. "Can't we talk about this? I don't do too good against giant robots."

"Talk is cheap!" Jessie exclaimed. "We'll teach you to fumble our plans!" The machine had then extended its arms into the air, chasing after Derpy and Wooper. Derpy held Wooper close, zooming away from the arms. She passed through many clouds with the arms breaking right through them.

Derpy figured that she could go higher. And that was a stunning idea as the arms of the machine had a limit to how far they could go. They stopped right in front of Derpy as she sat on a cloud.

"That was a close one." Derpy giggled.

"Ain't no way we're losing to her." Meowth shook his head, refusing to accept this.

"You have to admit, it's her clumsiness that makes her so hard to handle." James nodded, impressed by Derpy's talent to an extent. "Not bad, if you ask me."

"Well, no one asked anyway!" Jessie growled. "This isn't over yet!" Furious, she then smashed her fist onto a button t try and amp things up.

The machine started vibrating with engines revving up. The eyes of it started glowing red as extra arms were starting to grow from the side. Derpy and Wooper watched as this machine multiple in mechanical limbs. However, it didn't go all the way.

There was an error. The hole that Derpy made on the side was still there and it was affecting the machine's performance and some of its functions. There was also the damage done in the front when an attack had missed Wooper. Wires were exposed thanks to this. That's when Derpy saw a chance.

"Oh yeah. I did that." Derpy nodded. "Okay, Wooper. Let's try to do something about that hole and damage right there."

"Woo!" Wooper would do just that. He had jumped out of Derpy's hooves, free-falling towards the Tangrowth machine as even Derpy didn't expect that.

"Wait! I didn't say jump! Oh, Wooper."

"Woo...!"

"Is he crazy?! Whatever!" Jessie then made all of the arms go after Wooper in the air. They ended up grabbing Wooper, restraining the Water Fish Pokemon. "Hah! Trying to play hero like that didn't get you anywhere! Now come here, why don't you?"

"Wooper?" The arms of the Tangrowth then pulled Wooper in, right towards the hatch which was starting to open. But even that struggled due to the damage.

"Okay! Water Gun!"

"Woo...PER!" Wooper then opened his mouth, unleashing Water Gun onto the hatch. The exposed wires had been hit with this blast of water as the volatile reaction between electricity and water had begun. The Tangrowth machine started jittering once the wires were going crazy with volts after the water had splashed over them.

"Guuuuh!" Team Rocket yelped, feeling themselves shake too. The machine's grip on Wooper had failed, allowing the Water-Ground-Type to break free. But he did more than break free, he ran on the arms, heading for the open hole on the side.

"Good job, Wooper! Now Water Gun! All in!"

"Wooper!" Wooper, after reaching the side, unloaded a blast of water once more to further malfunction the machine. And once it flew through the hole while also having some droplets touch the wires, the machine started breaking down.

"Come on! Come on!" Jessie started pressing buttons, trying to get this thing to work.

"No good! We're short-circuited to the highest degree!" James gasped as he and Meowth held onto each other. Electrical explosions were starting to happen within the machine once the damage was increasing.

"Ugh..."Jessie sighed, knowing that they had hit a dead-end with this. The hatch was blown right open as Wooper quickly ran away from the machine.

But there was one problem. The machine was going to blow up, sure. But the Pokemon were still inside of it. And there were so many of them that it would take a while to get all of them out.

"Oops. I didn't think about that. My bad." Derpy just realized this. "Uh, quick! Grab as many as you can, Wooper! Maybe we can-"

"Champ!" But zooming right past Derpy was a swift figure. That figure belonged to a Machamp. Not just any Machamp. Big Macintosh's Machamp. He instantly used his four arms at great speeds, getting the job done quicker that way.

He managed to grab multiple Pokemon all at the same time including their Poke Balls with his superior size and multiple arms. Machamp did this in a matter of seconds while also ignoring the explosions with his durable body.

"Oooh!" Derpy started applauding Machamp's swift handiwork. It was only natural. Helping pick apples on a farm and even being a naturally fast and strong Pokemon had its benefits. This was one of them.

Machamp had then used two of his arms to rip parts of the machine apart to give some more space. Afterwards, he managed to get every last one of them out of the hatch. Once that was said and done, the machine could finish its combustion as Team Rocket had accepted defeat. The Tangrowth machine had blown up right around them.

"We were this close...This close to finally having Pikachu!" Jessie moaned with multiple anger veins showing up around her. "Who's the smart-aleck that underestimated Derpy?!"

"That would be you, Jess." James shrugged. "But look on the bright side. At least we know that the entirety of Ponyville is capable of toppling us, making them one big family, don't you think?"

"Plus us. Zecora's students, after all." Meowth also said, unbothered by this. "But in the meantime, it's been a while so...all together now!"

"We're blasting off agaaaaaaaiiiinnn!"

"Woooobuffeeeett!"

"I wish I had a catchphrase for if I failed," Derpy said, unaware that she did have one. Just then, showing up to the scene was Big Mac. He would be here since his Machamp was here. "Oh. Thanks for the help, Big Mac. I didn't know you were also awake. I thought you were unconscious like everyone else."

"Mm." Big Mac nudged his head forward.

"Well, glad that problem's been solved. It's only 8 minutes and everyone's still down and out." Indeed, the time difference between reality and the 18 Realms showed itself. Everything that happened in the realm compared to here was much faster. "Do you wanna go and check out Twilight's lab for a bit?"

"Hmmm...." Big Mac thought about it for a moment. There wasn't much to do right now as everyone was unconscious. But they weren't in any peril, especially with how they were sitting so casually. "Eeyup." He agreed to it, deciding to do something else with this time that they still had.

The 18 Realms. Normal Realm.

Back in the Normal Realm, the opposing Pokemon, some of them, had recovered. Especially Kommo-o. They were now searching for the Ponyville residents. The residents were all underneath the secret room, making sure to not make too much noise at all.

"Alright. New idea. Let's leave this area and head for somewhere else to meet with the others." Mayor Mare suggested.

"But the door's missing all of a sudden." Amethyst Star replied. "It just up and vanished. Plus, we haven't found any other way out of here. What do we do?"

"We could just...wait for someone in reality to knock us in our noggin to wake us up. But I doubt that would do the trick considering the type of mind we're in. Octavia said as Vinyl nodded in agreement.

"I wanna go home already..." Featherweight moaned. "I mean I am home but...Ya know..."

"We're not going out there with those Pokemon roaming around." Berry Punch shook her head. "If there's no exit to this place and they're still here, plus that giant Lucario head, we're spread thin here. And what is up with that giant Lucario head anyway?"

They were all starting to worry. They might've ended up in the worst possible scenario from how things were going. What started as a fun exploration evolved into this sudden attack.

"Let's not think about how it could all go awry." Mayor Mare stood up, staring at all of them while adjusting her glasses. She didn't want any of them to lose hope. "Of all the times to start worrying and lose hope, this is not one of them. We've been through worse with the Storm Behemoth and a full-on invasion."

"I mean...yeah." Amethyst Star.

"Yeah is right." Mayor Mare pointed her hoof at the unicorn. "Besides...we're Normal-Type Trainers. abnormal. We're the trainers of the most common yet odd Pokemon type that can learn more moves than the other 17 to a larger extent. That means we are all abnormal. Back then, we would've gone into a chaotic panic frenzy if we weren't. But now that we are, anything ludicrous and over-the-top is just standard fare to us. Sure, this is different from what we're used to since we're inside a collective mind of all things. But as if that is going to stop us. Is it?"

"No. That Spiritomb attack was far more dangerous..." Octavia shook her head.

"Exactly. And what about when the Darkest Day happened? If you ask me, we've had our fair share of titanic forces recently. It could be considered well...normal. Giants are normal for us. So let's just get this over with as if it was an average day in Ponyville. Because let's face it, it might as well be right now."

"I'm pumped! Sure!" Silver Spon exclaimed as everyone shushed her since she made a ton of noise. "Oops." But they were all in agreement either way.

"We'll find a way out of here. And we can still get in touch with everyone else. Vinyl. Get to using that Xtransceiver of yours. I'll also need your Pokemon, Ms Cherilee and Octavia to serenade them with some songs. Perhaps put them all to sleep. Children, do what you do best. Be the best diversion that you can be. The rest of you will do the same."

Mayor Mare gave out all of the orders to everyone. They all had jobs to do to beat these Pokemon that almost outnumber them and most definitely overpower them with sheer power alone.

They all brought out their Pokemon which were all mostly Normal-Type Pokemon. Some of them owned more than one Pokemon after all so some variety was there. But the most common Pokemon they all owned were Pidgey, Aipom, Furret, Vigoroth, Pidove and Zigzagoon.

But none of them matched the overwhelming number of Rattata that the children had. It was a disgusting amount of them that could overpopulate an entire town. Once they all came out, they left the secret room to get to work.

Kommo-o, Blastoise and a few Clawitzers plus a Hitmonchan were searching the area still. Blastoise swore it had heard something over at Town Hall. It used its cannons to blast a hole through it, seeing if anyone would be alerted. But no one emerged.

"Blast?"

At least not yet. With a two-second delay, something creaked from the floorboards. Blastoise looked around to see where that creak came from. But that focus quickly changed once there was instant noise outside. All of the Rattara that d the children owned plus a few Furret and Sentret had arrived.

"Rat! Rattata!"

"Furret!"

"Sentret!"

"Ko!" Kommo-o roared at the multiple Pokemon that had shown up. The owners of most of these Pokemon, the children, all taunted Kommo-o and the others with the usual childish things. Sticking out their tongues, pulling their eyes, making faces and the standard fare.

That was enough to get their attention as the Clawitzer had used Aqua Jet to fly in their general direction. That was their cue to lead them elsewhere. Kommo-o then noticed how there was another group of Rattata behind it as well. It swivelled around to spot them as the many Mouse Pokemon made a run for it.

Some of the Pokemon from before had managed to recover. Mainly the Lopunny and two Hitmonchan. Once they recovered, they noticed the abundance of Pokemon that had shown up. Naturally, they gave chase to them. Just as planned.

The Normal-Type Pokemon used the environment to their advantage, running through buildings and jumping on or over them, forcing their pursuers to keep up the pace. Normal-Types were not heavy battlers. But they certainly knew how to wear their opponents down with their massive numbers. Blastoise soon chased after them as it was only Kommo-o that hadn't moved.

"It's just you, me and Stoutland now." Mayor Mare confronted Kommo-o deciding to be the one to challenge it while everyone else was occupied.

"Kommo-o...!" The Scaly Pokemon wasted no time attacking, rushing towards Stoutland with Dragon Claw.

"Stoutland! Ice Fang!"

"Stout!" Stoutland's fangs generated an icy blue aura as he opened his mouth for the Dragon-Fighting-Type. He bit into Kommo-o's claws, gaining an instant grip on the Scaly Pokemon. And it was super-effective on Kommo-o as even with the Fighting-Type, it was still weak to ice.

"Ko?!" Kommo-o cried out.

"Land!" Stoutland then tossed Kommo-o aside whilst also freezing its claw. Kommo smashed its claw on the ground, breaking the ice. Aggravated, Kommo-o had then used Aura Sphere, putting its claws together to form the attack.

"Here it comes! Stoutland, meet it with Reversal!"

"Stoutland!" Stoutland stood there, allowing for the attack to hit him, just so he can deal back some greater damage. Kommo-o fired the sphere as it struck Stoutland directly, dealing super-effective damage. "Land!" But, Stoutland has taken his fair share of super-effective hits. The Big-Hearted Pokemon jumped out of the explosion with a glowing body.

"Mmo?!" Kommo-o gasped as Stoutland slashed at it with a great damage output thanks to Reversal. The Scaly Pokemon was knocked back by this as Stoutland already proved itself to be a worthy opponent.

And after realizing this, Kommo-o lowered its head, standing there for a bit. Stoutland stayed cautious, expecting a sneak attack soon. However, once Kommo-o felt the damage and saw how well Stoutland battled, a smile came on its face.

"Hm?" Mayor Mare noticed this once Kommo-o raised its head. For some reason, out of the blue, Kommo-o was getting excited. As if it wanted to continue this. At first, this seemed odd, but Mayor Mare had one idea that could be plausible.

"Kommo!" Kommo then moved at blinding speeds, appearing in front of Stoutland, holding an Aura Sphere in its claws. The Scaly Pokemon slammed it into Stoutland's face, knocking the Big-Hearted POkemon sideways and away at the same time.

"L-Land!"

"Stoutland, Giga Impact!"

"Stout!" Stoutland growled, sliding on the ground, making a large dust cloud. Afterwards, Stoutland charged at Kommo-o at full force. Kommo-o welcomed the Normal-Type with its smile growing.

As for everyone else, the children did what they do best. Be absolute nuisances that are nigh-impossible to catch thanks to their young age. This made it difficult for the opposing Pokemon to catch up.

But as they pursued the children and their Pokemon, music could be heard nearby. That's when the children eventually slowed down, coming to a halt. They stopped nearby Twilight's Castle while chuckling mischievously. The Hitmonchan, Lopunny and Clawitzer caught up once their moments ended.

But they ended for a reason. Soothing music was being played. A nice and warming dubstep that wasn't energetic but calm could be heard along with the sombre sound of a violin complimenting it. The opposing Pokemon slowed down themselves, but not willingly. Something was making them feel tired as a singing voice backed up by some back vocals came through.

The ones responsible for this were Vinyl and Octavia with their instruments. Since this was based on their home, the instruments they usually use were there as well, being utilized right now. And assisting them were Cherilee, Wigglytuff, Noivern and Exploud at a low volume.

And thanks to this union, the opposing Pokemon felt sleepy. They would battle without needing to be physical at all as the Pokemon started yawning, sitting down to this calming melody. However, some of them tried to stay awake. One of them was a Hitmonchan that was constantly hitting itself in the face.

"Hit! Hit! Hit! Hitmon!" And it was succeeding at it.

"I don't think so! SKitty, Attract!" Amethyst Star exclaimed.

"Skitty! Ski...!" Skitty lunged at Hitmonchan, swivelling for a bit as an array of hearts appeared around her body. Afterwards, she had winked, sending the heart towards Hitmonchan.

"Chan?" Hitmoncahn looked over as Attract had landed. The potential resistance to the song was prominent but that didn't mean anything anymore now that Attract had landed. Hitmonchan was infatuated, unable to hit himself.

"Skitty."

That was one major problem down. The opposing Pokemon, a majority of them, were asleep or just infatuated. But to make sure Hitmonchan didn't snap out of it, Silver Spoon's Glameow went up to the Punching Pokemon, smacking it upside the head with Slash. "Glameow."

"Was that necessary, Glameow?" Silver Spoon asked as they all chuckled.

"Glam."

"KO!" The roar of Kommo-o could be heard as the battle between it and Stoutland was ramping up. Everypony went over to see if they could help Mayor Mare.

But she was holding her own. Kommo-o had smashed Stoutland in the face with an Aura Sphere. It then followed up with a second Aura Sphere, hitting Stoutland midair.

"It isn't over yet! Stoutland! Work Up!"

"Stout! Stout!" Stoutland then roared, building up his strength as an orange aura engulfed him. Kommo-o then breathed in and out, smiling some more. Instead of being aggravated, it was enjoying itself. That's when Mayor Mare knew what it was about.

"I can tell...you haven't had a fun battle in a while, haven't you?" She asked as the Scaly Pokemon froze for a moment. That's when its smile turned into a smirk with closed eyes. "I knew it. Fighting-Types love to battle, don't they? You don't have actual hostile intentions towards us, do you?"

"Ko. Kommo-o." Kommo-o was simply following orders from a Pokemon that had stolen its Aura. Gardevoir.

"Well, I'm glad I could give you an enjoyable battle. Let's finish this and soon we'll head home! Stoutland! Giga Impact! At full power, if you please!"

"Stout...!" Stoutland began building up power, getting ready for an extra-large Giga Impact. Kommo-o put its claws together, growing an extra-large Aura Sphere. Both Pokemon unleashed their attacks with Stoutland charging in headfirst.

Giga Impact clashed with Aura Sphere, creating a mighty fissure and shockwave that knocked everyone off balance. There was a mild struggle with both forces pushing against each other, but Stoutland emerged victorious, bursting through the Aura Sphere. Afterwards, he had crashed into Stoutland at full force, dealing the finishing blow. Kommo-o's eyes turned white as it was knocked off its feet with that final attack.

The Scaly Pokemon was sent flying through multiple buildings by this attack as Stoutland dropped to the ground. Eventually, Kommo-o stopped flying, crashing to the ground. The battle had been decided.

"Hah..." Mayor Mare took a deep breath as the battle had been decided. "Not getting too old for this."

"Stoutland!" Stoutland let out a roar of victory as he ran over to Mayor Mare, pouncing on her. He then gave her joyous licks, making her laugh.

"Hahaha! Stoutland! Please!" Everyone else cheered with victory screams. They managed to succeed valiantly. Their teamwork certainly helped them in this endeavour. And the overwhelming numbers too.

After winning, the Giga Lucario suddenly roared as a door had appeared near Town Hall. Just like before, solving a problem seemed to summon a door at random. They were relieved to see one after finding barely anything in this combined town.

However, before they could head there, they noticed how the opposing Pokemon were all glowing, exuding Aura from their bodies. The Aura then started rising to the air as the face of Giga Lucario faded away. Also fading away was Kommo-o along with the Pokemon they had defeated. But they faded with Aura particles.

"Ko." Kommo-o stood up, smiling at the ponies and their Pokemon. "Kommo."

"You just wanted a fun battle all this time, didn't you?"

"Kommo-o." Kommo-o nodded but there was more to it. Cherilee read its mouth patterns, seeing if she could translate it. And she did.

"They're finally able to return to the real world, apparently," said Cherilee, translating. "It sounds like they were trapped here."

"Oh. Is that so? Well...I'm glad that you all can return now." Mayor Mare smiled. "Not sure what this is all about the more you put it that way, but...good luck out there. And if you can, come by to Ponyville at any time, alright?"

"Kommo-o." Kommo-o promised to do just that as it and the Pokemon had all faded away, leaving the 18 Realms at last. That was the end of that. And not wasting any time so that the door doesn't potentially vanish again, they all made their way towards it, ready to leave this realm.

But of course, the Gardevoir behind all of this was still loose out there in these realms, searching for the biggest Aura she can find. Ash's Aura.

But aside from that, the Normal-Type Trainers knew how powerful they are and can be. Owners of a common type yet wielders of various moves more than the other 18. Normal is ordinary, yet sometimes, simple is best as the journey continues.

Sure are. One of them literally rules the Pokemon Universe. It was worth doing this 18 Types storyline and even more worth it since i based it off the Sun and Moon ending song. Too catchy to not adapt in a way.
