All that I touch seems to break in my hands, then it just bursts into flames.

T

Tender Rows is down on her luck. In fact, she's pretty much down on her life. After being fired from nearly every job in Ponyville, Tender must seek a new occupation or face life on the streets. However, not all jobs are as easy as they seem.

A Tender Rows story. Prequel to Garden of Roses

Thanks, sir. We'll see what happens but I'm really enjoying the character.

You've been putting out a lot of stories lately it seems.
Keep it up J

DAINN! Good to see you, sir.

After being fired from nearly every job in Ponyville, Tender must seek a new occupation or face life on the streets.

But, doesn't that imply she still has a job?

I don't read it that way. At most it implies there are jobs she hasn't had yet.

Thanks. Have to branch out in the next one.

I'm not sure why, but Tender being mute makes her even cuter to me.

Thanks for the comment. I wanted to make a character who was isolated from typical society. Her new career is a limiting one and so the Association typically hires those with a natural disposition to seclusion or aversion to social lifestyles. Since she's mute, she's always felt alone and different. Of course, much of this is her perception of herself, but I think it suits the secrecy of the position.

Thank you for reading. I hope to continue her adventures in the future. I have several projects going on at the moment but have wanted to write a horror adventure about a monster hunter for a while.

I haven't thought a lot about Spirit but he is a fun character. He's graduated from student to teacher at this point in his career. His battles are over and the veteran deserves his rest.

Happy you enjoyed the story. It didn't do as well as I had hoped but it was a lot of fun to write.
