Rarity, on her way to picking up books from the library for Sweetie Belle, discovers that a particular pony has a mane. Not just any mane, but a fluffy, cuddly, puffy, pink mane at that! And not only does it feel great, but is durate, easy to come by, and best of all, free! Rarity tries her hardest to obtain the secrets behind this strange substance that is Pinkie Pie's hair. Hilarity ensues.

Also a subplot on hats and reading.

Something totally random that I thought of while browsing through gifs. I hope you enjoy it!

1137235 Yeah, it will update soon. And as for the size, is 10 font the standard?

1137235 dang it now im looking online for a picture of that

The Daring Do part was HILARIOUS~!!!!:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::twilightsmile:

1139532 Thanks! Yeah, I'm actually dying right now, because of writer's block, and I just had to do something random... lol.

Also, be expecting another part of Acceptance soon! I'm quickly getting over my writers block!

I gotta say, this story made no sense, had a completely unrealistic battle between a barber and Pinkie's mane (the shotgun and chainsaws were completely over-the-top), and had Dash being neuralyzed by Twilight multiple times for the sake of avoiding spoilers for a Daring Doo book.

...This is the greatest story, ever. Of all time. More please!

Hmm, it seems a little odd to keep referencing real-world books that wouldn't exist in Equestria, but other than that this is pretty good so far.

It's funny, I actually saw the memory wipe coming; I just didn't expect it to keep happening over and over. Dash is going to spend this entire story trying to read that one book, isn't she? Then at the end she'll wonder how it's suddenly three days later.

1145292 Hehe well... About that...

I was far too excited trying to write down the story, to think of how to ponify the characters; I just assumed that it was better that I related to those reading by referencing the stories as they were IRL.

And who knows? Maybe Primrose would make a good name for a pony.

Actualy i'm sure RD will start to have memory problem related to how many time she got her memory erased and for Pinkie... well its Pinkie so dont Ask and Meata is just writing the story as it was the show so the random noise while cuting her mane is totaly justifyied because it would actualy happen like that in the show ^^

I feel like you've dropped an entire plot on the thing with Rarity and AJ.

1164074 Me too, to be honest. I realized while writing this that an entire story could have been devoted to AJ and her hat. I may write a separate story on that in the future. For now, though, I probably will focus on Pinkie's mane as the main plot.

I imagine that you wouldn't enjoy this story, especially with the amount of randomness that occurs. I read your bio and it sounds like you're a pretty picky reader. If I were you, I'd probably go read something more substantial than this. :twilightblush:

sword in each hand

just thought i would point that out

This seems like a fun story. Let's keep more coming, please.

I have no idea what elucid and keter mean, and neither does dictionary.com.

Hmm, I think you might've gone slightly overboard with the Twilight scientist gimmick this chapter, along with the general sort of wackiness. I liked the first two chapters better anyway, but maybe it's just me.

1276853 Yeah, I'm experimenting with silliness currently. This is sorta like my guinea pig story. But thanks for telling me! I always need more constructive criticism! :twilightblush:

1276853 From The SCP Foundation

The designation "Safe" is assigned to subjects or objects that may be effectively and reliably contained.

An SCP object is classified as Euclid when its behavior cannot be unerringly predicted, either because the item is sentient, it behaves outside of current scientific knowledge, or its nature is simply poorly understood at present. Euclid-class objects do not pose the same existential threat to humanity due to containment breach that Keter-class objects do, but they still generally require more diligence to keep contained than Safe-class objects.

The designation "Keter" is assigned to subjects that both (a) display vigorous, active hostility to human life, civilization, and/or spacetime, and (b) are capable of causing significant destruction in the event of a containment breach. Such subjects must be cataloged, contained according to special containment procedures, and destroyed, if possible.
Merely being inimical to human life is not in itself cause for classification as a Keter-level object. A Keter classification indicates that not only is this subject capable of inflicting devastating harm to human life and civilization, but that containment protocols must be extensive, involved, and precisely followed in order to prevent it from doing so. Research into the neutralization of Keter-class SCPs is always a top priority for the Foundation.

Hm, interesting site in an odd sort of way. And I guess that explains some things about this chapter, although I'm not exactly sure why or how Twilight and Rarity would know about it.

I have absolutely no idea where this is going. :derpyderp2:

I like it so far, actually.

But one thing... This:

She tackled Pinkie to the floor. “It was the second last chapter of the newest book of Daring Do! DARING DO! How could you do this to me? And you’ve ruined it!”

How does a second last chapter work? Or did you mean "Second to last chapter"?

~Skeeter The Lurker
(I wonder... Do you know who I am? I know you.)

You read the Hunger GAmes? VERY good read, I applaud you.

I can agree with Twilight... A spoiled ending is the worst. May those who do that die painfully.

And I can see Pinkie's mane regrowing in the span of seconds. It is, after all, Pinke Pie.

~Skeeter The Lurker
(We've met, you know. On a certain site.)

A few grammer points I noticed, but otherwise pretty good.

I gotta say... 5,000 lbs of hair...? And of Pinkie's hair no less... I, well, I dunno.

~King Sombra
(Now do you know where I'm from?)

I predict Rarity will be spending many many days in front of a loom and a spinning wheel in order to turn Piecus hair into fabric and thread.

The fashions she makes from it? Why, that will be her Diane collection, of course.
