Very nice, love the idea of giving Tempest a sort of artificial horn.
Cool story, and a nice nod to the history of aluminum. Tempest agreeing to put on the prosthetic seemed a bit too quick for my taste though. She does get a lot of warnings and seem nervous after all, and we don't get any insight into how she weighed those dangers. Similarly, the decision to re-gift seems a bit quick and too easy; the decision doesn't seem to get enough weight relative to Tempest getting something life-changing, and moreover something that she was willing to go to The Dark SideTM for.

Heh, so does that mean that the "regifting" didn't refer to giving away Twilight's gift atall, at least, not in the common sense?
That's good, I wanted Tempest to keep that horn, seems a waste to give it away so soon.
