a buffalo mare

The term "mare" is strictly for equines. Buffalo are bovines, so the term you want to use is "buffalo cow".

Though Strongheart seemed a bit young to be an adult, so I would call her a "buffalo calf".

As she drew closer to the center of the relived memory, she could make out a the pair better. One was a yellow furred Earth Pony stallion. The other was a buffalo cow. While Luna blinked about that for a moment, she soon shook it off. After all, things were different now. Ponies having relationships with non-ponies wasn’t as frowned upon as it used to be. As she drew closer, she could hear the buffalo mare speak up. “I’m sorry, Braeburn. It’s just not going to work out. I’ve found somefalo else.”

Wow this is a pretty interesting start of a story so it looks like Princess Luna is keeping an eye on every pony and creature dreams to see if there's any nightmare but then she senses someone is in trouble and having a really bad nightmare and this Pony is name Braeburn and Princess Luna came in and tell him that he was just having a nightmare and somehow when he started to calm down somehow he knows how to made his dream a little bit better which Luna was pretty surprised how much he can do that and it looks like Luna was offering him to learn this kind of stuff which somehow he accepted it something tells me this should be very interesting

Ohh wow Okay so it looks like Luna is starting to have some feelings for him even though she only met him just a day ago and Princess Celestia remind her about her experience with Sombra which ouch that really hurts but Luna wants to keep it professional and once nighttime comes around she went to the Dreamworld to meet up with Braeburn and when she got there apparently he already got started with his dream creation which she was impressed but it looks like her teaching is going to begin I wonder how this will work guess we'll find out next time
