I've definitely gotten into the habit of writing things a certain way and I like seeing how other people feel about it, it gives me a lot to think about when writing newer stories.

I also like to talk with you about it. It always sounds as some kind of excuse, but I'm really more picky with my stories than I would be in real life about certain things.
However Rarity and always being close to something that "could" be described as a hhhhmmmm whore isn't the right word but I don't find the right one right now, everything I can think of including that goes a bit to far. Anyway like some other stuff I see this to often happening to her and that's probably part of the reason why it kind of took me of guard.

However you made it at least acceptable to me and at least I thought she wasn't like that. Now I'm just not sure what they were thinking exactly if they didn't started the whole thing with deep interesst for each other that night.

However now that I think about it, the letter idea stuck with me, I think that would actually be a nice idea, either as extra chapters or in the chapters where you see capper actually.

I guess it's a bit difficult to image that working out with everything you hear in that regard isn't working out and if you personally act differently around it. It's one thing knowing it and the other to believe in it or act like that I guess.

To be honest I fastly get the image in my had of Rarity or other persons I hear about being known for that and that just doesn't seems to be a likeable reputaion.

That's probably why I dislike enough of the heat stories, or like one storie where Fluttershy suddenly lost her brain and the whole thing turned into a f**** for your live situation where everyone takes that piece of flank they like. I always image them working up one morning to notice they slept with their neighbour they hated and what kind of problems that could include if it's one of those darker stories where they can get pretty manipulative.

That maybe doesn't happen often but I also never felt the desire to potentially atract a crazy person that isn't happy with stopping after one night no matter if she agreed to it or not.

Tempest is interested in being a royal guard simply because she already has years of experience being a commander and she now wants to put her skills to use to help protect Equestria. Plus she just wants something to do with her time and being a guard seems like a pretty rewarding job.

I think I actually meant if that was really a thing in the story already or just her plan now and why she needed to go to guards school instead of doing some kind of test and a small training to fit in.

I can't really see her being into hard drugs. Fluttershy's a Good Girl that needs to take care of her animals. :'D

Ah. She's mostly in the planning stage right now but my next multi-chapter story is actually going to involve her going through the training. And the reason I'm having her go through all of it is because it's kinda a formality. Like, if she just shows up to lead a squadron without having gone through the kind of training they did, there'll probably be all kinds of talk of favoritism and jabs at her not having to "work as hard" and nonsense like that. To avoid the drama, Tempest is just going to do the same training they all do. She won't really have any problems with it I imagine. Plus, from an out of universe perspective, I just really want to write about her going through basic training. :')

i fail to see how that works out to no leather at all. to be frank cowhide is only the most common leather material there is alot you can make leather from (snakes, gators, kangaroos, bears, etc) and i have a hard time believe that if someone kills a hydra, they'd rather let it rot then use the hide for something useful.

That's an excellent point and somehow I found myself completely blanking on the other animals used for leather. I thought about alligators but then Gummy came to mind and I realized someone (cough Pinkie) would probably take offense to alligator leather too. Tbh though I don't see the ponies as using many animal products, like they'll eat eggs and milk, and shave off wool, but actually skinning anything and using its hide isn't something they really do. I'm not familiar with Happy Few. But when it comes to the way I'm gonna write Pinkie and Cheese, hopefully it doesn't disappoint. Honestly I'm not even sure right now how that one's gonna go, I have a vague idea of course how I see them getting together but actually writing it is probably gonna take a while. I might just do that later and instead work on the royal guard story since I'm much more interested in continuing to work with Tempest and Discord. The chronicles just exist to kinda set up my next gen pairings for those who might be curious.

Well I guess they wouldn't use leather for everything like clothes, there I would understand how they could feel guilty or grossed out by it, but not sure if they would not at least accept something like a bag. I never looked at them closely enough to actually figure out what they maybe use for their saddlebags and which materials would be strong enough to carry what Twilight puts into them all the time.

From the get go I would like to state that my decisions in shipping have ZERO to do with what other people in the fandom like. Absolutely zero. I ship characters that I personally believe could have an interesting chemistry and that I, shocker, feel like writing for. Whether that leads to me coming up with rarepairs like Discord/Tempest, or joining the many people who already like ships like Twishimmer, it doesn't matter. My shipping is mine. No one else's opinions matter to me.

As for the ships. Well let's go through them.

Why not Soarindash? Simple, I have no interest in writing Soarin. He's a fine character, I have nothing against him, and people who wanna ship him with Rainbow are 100% valid. If I see ship art of them I tend to think it's cute. But that doesn't mean I have to ship it. I simply prefer them to be good friends and wingponies. Also I was in the military and the Wonderbolts are technically military and dating people within your unit is generally frowned upon entirely because of how it can be detrimental to good order and discipline. Soarin's been a Wonderbolt far longer than Dash, he likely outranks her. And on top of that, if their relationship starts having problems?? They could bring that into their work environment and negatively impact their team's morale and cohesion. Maybe I'm being unnecessarily realistic but my perspective is as valid as anyone else's. I feel it might be best for Rainbow to keep her work life and her romantic life a lil separated from each other. Also I just thought Rainbow and Night Glider could have a fun dynamic with each other. So I went for it and I liked what I came up with.

Oh my gosh. I love your writing and your pairings!!! Allow me to gush for several paragraphs

We definitely have similar taste in ships. TwiShimmer has been my OTP since Rainbow Rocks. Equestrian Twilight because 1.) They connected first, and can relate both being students Celestia, 2.) I love the angst of them living in different worlds in the beginning, and 3.) I desperately want Sunset to live in Equestria in her future and I don't think she would with Sci-Twi. It's a popular ship and for good reason.

But holy Celestia. CAPPERITY?! Where to begin. I am so glad I finally found someone that ships this pairing. The chemistry between these two is just... unf I won't even lie, I'm such a fan of these two that I have actually brainstormed almost this exact scenario between them, minus the dinner date and bubble bath. I am glad you wrote it before I did, because you did a splendid job.

I have to say, while I'm more of an AppleDash fan for Rainbow, you really made the interactions between her and an otherwise forgotten character really interesting and engaging! I'm also a FlutterCord fan (how original, right?) but I won't even try to deny it....The way you write Tree Hugger & Flutters is ADORABLE. Just by your writing alone, I am at least 75% sold on that pairing.
