I honestly didn't see that coming. Too many folks are busy shipping Twilight and Tempest, Songbird just plain gets overlooked. It's surprising how similar the two can be when you really look at it.

The pedantic in me dictates I point out that Songbird isn't the pony Twilight would least expect comfort from. That title would likely go to some long dead tribalist or similar. Otherwise great story. I really like the moment Twilight decides she has to help the accountant.
