Sunset is beat after a long day at school. After a day of stress, Sunset just wants to have a bit of fun after school. Luckily for her, her friend Pinkie Pie is a master of fun. And what's more fun than visiting a carnival? With rides and fried foods and fun in store for the evening, Pinkie Pie plans to help Sunset have a night she'll never forget.
Of course, if Pinkie's being super-duper honest with herself, the carnival might provide the opportunity she needs to get something off her chest. A secret that makes her feel like she'll explode if she doesn't say it soon. But how do you tell your friend something this big when you know it might change everything?

I honestly thought that Pinkie had somehow pulled a few favors and gotten exclusive access to the carnival for the two of them on account of how many rides had zero wait time, but then I remembered that the description when they arrived included lots of other people.
Seriously tho; when was the last time you went to a carnival and didn't have to stand around for ten minutes before getting on the Gravitron?

The number of jokes I want to make. And they're all too easy.
Writing romantic stories with Pinkie Pie in them can be a challenge, largely because out of all the show leads I think Pinkie is the hardest character to get feeling precisely "right". Fortunately, you're pretty much on the money. In my first scanthrough and read of this fic, I found myself wondering less about whether the actions taken felt "in character" and more about what kind of two-bit fair this is where Funnel Cakes are topped with anything but powdered sugar. If you put more toppings on a funnel cake, it's not a funnel cake!

Pinkie was definitely the harder of the two to write. Most of my rewrites were her dialogue, so that's a huge compliment to hear.

That was so fluffy I could die- I'm usually more of a Sunlight gal myself, but every so often I find something well written for an alternative ship. This is definitely one of those moments- such a cute romance blossoming between Sunset and Pinkie! 10/10 would Dizzitron again

Well that was rather cute... or condemned? Pinkie never finished. XD Sorry. No, this was fun. I laughed at a few parts, and altogether enjoyed myself. I didn't have to think about it long. This certainly received a great score. Four out of five to be precise. Back to the story its self. A question I ask myself is: would I recommend this fic? Yes, I would certainly suggest this fic. Without going of on tangent; I can't wait to see a sequel about the continuation of this shipfic "series."
