The Shipshelf is a group dedicated to collecting, reviewing, and promoting all the great 'shipfics' of the MLP fandom. If you want a story review, some feedback, or just to read some shipfics and relax, this is the group for you. The Shipshelf is always open to submissions. Frequently Asked Questions
*What kind of stories should I add and where? - Add a story anytime to the 'The Friend Zone' folder. Any story added must have the 'romance tag'. Please do not add any story that is currently on hiatus. (Acceptations can be made, just P.M. a listed admin for details.)
*How does the Shipshelf handle story additions to the main folder? - After a member adds a story to 'The Friend Zone', that story gets read and reviewed, then gets a place in one of the main folder's sub folders. There are five sub folders, each with a different number. The numbers represent the rating the stories within got on their respective reviews, one being the lowest rating, five being the highest. (Some stories will get added to a main sub folder without a review.)
*How does the 'Story of the Month' box work?- On the twentieth of every month, the admins convene to discuss their favorite reviewed stories of that given month. Then come to a decision on what to place in the box.
*Does the Shipshelf feature stories with the sex/mature tag?- Yes, this group does indeed feature stories with said tags, but stories intended to be purely clop are frowned upon.
*What is a 'Ship/Shipper?'- A 'ship' is the act of two characters coming together to form a relation(ship). A 'shipper' is one who enjoys or is a fan of one or more 'ships' (relationships) between two or more characters in any given show, movie, book, ect, this case being MLP.
*Does the Shipshelf allow self promotion?- Promote away! Feel free to promote any shipfic you would like via the forums. Other non-group related posts/promotions belong in the 'General Conversation Thread', located in the forums. Also, feel free to add groups to the 'Similar Groups' box.
*Can I request a review?- Yes you may. In the event that a story you submitted to 'The Friend Zone' gets a place in a ranked sub-folder without a review, you may ask for one in the forums. We will be more then happy to accommodate, just drop a thread. However, keep in mind that there may be a reason why you did not receive a review, things like the incomplete tag for example. If you do have an incomplete story that got denied a full-fledged review, just drop a thread asking for feedback. One or more Admins will drop a short comment on what they think of your story so far.
