After a solo expedition turns bad, Trixie finds herself trapped on a volcano with no way to escape, and no hope of rescue.
This story is based on a Magic: the Gathering card that was randomly generated using the RoboFoME random card generator. It was originally written for SirNotAppearingInThisFic's Unhinged collection, but we decided to publish it separately instead, for Fimfiction-related reasons.
Rated T for vaguely dark themes.
This was very good, and you got a surprisingly light-on-words card.
Agrees with KingMoriarty.
Nice use of Trixie! Stubborn and Egotistical, sorta, but knows her stuff.
There's a Group now. OMG. Joining!
Yup, that's a figment of Trixie's mind all right.
Very nicely done. I've seen surprisingly little working with how Trixie would indeed have interacted with Limestone and Marble while on the rock farm, so something that made such rich use of that was a surprising delight. Thank you for this.

Thanks! I did cheat somewhat by generating over and over until I got one that inspired me, which I think SNAITF implied is against the spirit of the challenge. If I do this again, I'll try to stick with the first one I get :)

Hell yeah. ^^ Trixie is one of my favorite characters to write, although I think this is the first time I've actually published a fic with her in.

Thaaaaanks Not gonna lie, I just find the Pie family utterly fascinating. I tried to restrain myself but I couldn't help but bring all the sisters into this fic.
Very entertaining. Very "slice of life", if you assume that getting trapped inside a volcano counts as everyday life. (Then again, this is Equestria.) And I agree that there's far too little Trixie/Pie Sisters interaction in fanfiction.
Huh. I hadn't ever gone back to think about how Trixie's work on the rock farm meant she'd met Pinkie's family as we currently know them.
This was a lot of fun to read!

It's certainly a fairly unexplored area! Or maybe it has been explored and I just suck at discovering fics. It's probably a fairly recent concept though as it could only come about after "Hearthbreakers", which means someone would need to do a period piece to explore it.
7796681 I used to ship Trixie and Maud (at least until "No Second Prances" established that Starlight was Trixie’s first friend ever) and I know I wasn’t the only one. And "Magic on the Rocks" is also pretty good: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/297243/magic-on-the-rocks
This was a great read, good stuff
7865545 Thank you!
7845525 I started reading it the other day, and damn, it is good. Thanks for the recommend!
Well said, RoboFoME.
