You have shown what the true essence of generosity is without hiding the fact that Rarity can be prideful and even arrogant at times. That she uses her observational skills for both design of clothing and tempting ponies with the clothing. Behind the façade you have shown Rarity’s true heart. A heart that gives without thought or worry what she might gain.

And that's exactly what I wanted to convey. Rarity is my favorite character from the show, and part of that is because she probably struggles the most with her Element. She doesn't do it intentionally, and she really does want to help others out however she can—even if she loses sight of them and what they need. Deep down, she truly cares about everyone in her life, and seeing a character struggle to remind themselves of their core values gives them much more depth and just makes them interesting to watch.

Really love Applejack/Rarity stories that focus on the healing and comfort aspect (particularly if Rarity is shining in her element).

Very odd for Applejack to leave her mother's scarf on the ground like that even if she was upset. Maybe have her offer it to Rarity as material to use or hastely given to keep the unicorn warm for the jacket if you want AJ to discard it.
