As the dust settled, the princesses, Spike, and the delegates started at the scattered pile of gems that their unity statue had now dissolved into twice.
Princess Cadance tilted her head. "You know...a thought occurs." She glanced at Princess Twilight. "Maybe we should've used some sort of adhesive instead of just expecting this huge statue made of oddly-shaped gemstones to hold together all on its own?"
Twilight scratched her head. "Well," she said slowly, "it's what Dad does with his jigsaw puzzles..."
This was still pretty funny.
Though I also found the ending of the episode as is to be funny as well.
I wish that had happened in the show!
Eh, maybe some sort of adhesive would be for the best in retrospect, though it seemed like the point of the statue was all the gems being able to stay together on their own.
"Also, somepony find whoever thought it was a good idea to hand a bouquet of dragonsneeze to a dragon. There are well-meaning accidents, and then there's calculated malice."
I still blame Cadance for all the fiasco of that day.
Well, they'd better hope Princess Celestia and Princess Luna don't find out about this.
In my mind it's just a statue covered in duct tape.

Bouquet nothing, find whatever idiot decided to plant them all over the city! Dragons aren't the most sociable beings, but all it would take is one large sized one walking down that street and you'd need a new capital.
To be fair, some lose their significance if you use such means to make them work. For instance, structures like the ones I will post below just wouldn't be as impressive if it turned out that they were all glued or wired to be that way.

(I'm aware of the GravityGlue.com watermark; it's referring to gravity being the "glue" that holds these structures together, not some knock-off Superglue brand.)
7270970 I love the guy next to the impressive structure in image 2. What is he doing? Are his feet cold in that river? Why is he holding an obviously uncomfortable pose? The world may never know.

looks like he's in a martial arts stance.
For fuck's sake - there's no 'glue spell'? I know they don't want to use traditional glue - a traditional ingredient was hooves and the like, off of memory - but not thinking of an adhesive spell is pretty dumb.
AND THEY'RE FREAKING PRINCESSES, ONE OF WHICH IS A GENIUS!
Equestria's doomed.
