Toby,
That sounds perfectly alright with me, and I’m happy to hear about the response from your other pen pal. Don’t worry about me, your homework is far more important. In fact, that will give me plenty of time to get a lot done on all these books you sent me.
Speaking of, I’m starting to get a better understanding over why you wanted me to be cautious about human history, but so far, it’s nothing that seems out of the ordinary for a relatively primitive and archaic society. I can probably assume that things could get worse from here, but I’m willing to muscle through in the name of research.
Talk to you tomorrow,
Twilight
P.S. Spike has been virtually locked up in his room all day. I have a feeling that book you picked out for him was a real winner!

Hey Toby,
Thanks for the info there! I’ve been known to throw a pretty wild party myself, but if ponies are acting too wild and spoiling other ponies fun, I guess that’s really no fun at all!
Also, Twilight told me about your other pen-pal and that assignment of yours! That sounds really neat! Well, I’d hate to get between two creatures making friends with one another, so you go and enjoy yourselves!
Hear from you later!
Pinkie Pie
in a twist of fate pinikie is also the other pen pal
I have the strangest feeling that they might both enjoy the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini. A very good, if slightly stereotypical, look at modern human fiction. Besides, the comparisons between their level of magic and the kind represented in the books would be rather fun to draw.

Things are pretty bad in different ways for awhile but once she hits the fifteenth century I hope Twilight can keep up this attitude.
Twilight will be singin' a different tune once she reads about the modern age.

forget modern age
The Dark Age is violent enough

Well, when she gets there, I suggest that Toby use this quote.
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it—always." — Mahatma Gandhi
Ouch...
How to traumatize twilight 101
Step 1: Show her Belgian history in Europe
Step 2: Show her Belgian history in the Congo
Step 3: PROFIT

or, you know, introduce her to Hitler's ideologies

That's one of my favorite quotes
I wonder if Toby will get into the topic of music soon.
