Twilight,
I’m super happy that you enjoyed it. I’d perhaps like to call it a second best case scenario. Personally, I always found The End of the Whole Mess to be my favorite ending to one of his stories. Those last two pages...
*this is where I shudder, but you obviously can’t see that, so there*
Anyways, I’d be more than happy to lend you more of his books, although, I do have some Poe and Lovecraft in my collection as well. Those stories were written long before Stephen King was even born, so they may be a little easier for you to understand, but they were undeniably huge inspirations for King. I have a couple collections of both their works I can send you.
Of course, if you still have questions, don’t hesitate to ask me, and I can work on the ones you just sent me.
Sorry Spike, better luck next time.
Toby
P.S. I have my trip to the comic store scheduled. I shouldn’t forget this time. See you after class.
Good read. On to the next!
All this talk of scary books somehow made me think of a book that should almost be guaranteed to make Twilight's head explode (possibly literally). The good ol Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I wonder if Twilight will pick up on Lovecraft's hilariously over-the-top racism and go "wth?!"
(Yaaay! Poe! I never got into Lovecraft, not a comment on his style I literally just never actually got to sitting down and reading his works, however I've always had a special fondness for Edgar Allen Poe's literary works! I imagine she'll be saying 'YES'! As the bookhorse we know and love.)
