Wait really?! Hahaha, I thought that was your own swing on it.
I missed part of the fandom during that time, I always thought Flash Sentry was on the Equestrian side of the border.
Many fanfics reinforced this idea.
Oh well, learned something, and yes enjoyed it for a late night read!
6193709 we first meet Flash Sentry in the first mlp movie 'Equestria Girls' which starts with a royal summons at the Crystal Empire (on both sides of the mirror both speak)
Then in S4 E11 Threes a Crowd, he's one of the guards escorting Cadence to Ponyville via train
Then we see him again in S4 E25 when he's introducing the guests to the Empire.
After that there's the second movie 'Rainbow Rocks' where we only see his EG side.
But on both sides right at the start, Twilight is shown to have a crush on him...
