Nurse Redheart has dealt with lots of sick ponies. She's been able to save them all, heal them all, and patch them all up. From the biggest break to the smallest scratch she's a healer at heart.
But when a new pony moves to Ponyville it's up to her to retrieve the medical records of the town's newest resident. However soon Red finds herself falling for him and him falling for her.
But this new pony, while kind, gentle, and charismatic, hides a secret. Something he doesn't want other's to find. When love comes into the picture, saying good bye becomes harder ever...

That was such a good read. Loving the relationship between the two building up instead of just flat out loving each other.
Couple of things i would improve:
When characters are thinking to themselves"Put is like this so we know they are thinking it"
'A blue earth pony with a pink mane sat stood at the edge of the lobby staring inquisitively' I dont know if its just me, or is this meant to say sat still?
Also loved the ending...no-one knows if he survived or not.
Overall great story, well dont on writing it

But in all seriousness I wrote this short while researching terminal conditions and thought it would make a good story if Red fell for a guy who was dying of one. I meant this to be a standalone story but the idea of a sequal isnt totally out of my mind...

This is pretty great! I loved the last chapter as well, the how romance built up and everything else.
This ending is very open, causing us to draw up of either if he lived or died on that operating table.
Unn... that ending. So good and so terrible...
If my date secretly stashed a syringe in their pocket, there is no way I would go with them anywhere until they explained what it was.
Hard to empathize with these characters and I was getting bored reading. Felt pretty forced, as if the whole world was pretty much revolving around them and only moved in a way that held them at the center of it.

I honestly don't think so. I'd see him as having the strength to come back due to his love for Redheart, as cheesy as it sounds, live for those he loves.
But all in all, you did a great job at making an emotionally compelling romantic story.
