5977846 I think I get it. If I hated something or somebody, I might write this sort of thing as revenge, maybe against a certain group or society or maybe against myself. I might want a reason to condemn others, anyone who fails to heed the vague warning I place on the story's front page, the same way I was dragged into whatever predicament has me upset with the world, in order to justify my loneliness or misery to myself. I'd keep the ending less miserable than the action because I put enough effort into it that I wouldn't want to just leave the story without any redeeming quality, and because I'd be conflicted about my rage. The characters would be an extension of myself. Aware that it's fiction, but unwilling to escape from it, no matter how uncomfortable, because then I'd have to admit I was wrong.

The mind can make such bruises real, yet Ms Rarity played the same catch and release games with her young victims in "Tarnished Silver" series by Ham Gravy, so we may never know if it was real or a dream. Rarity's victims had the same problem the first few times she abducted them and Silver Spoon helped torture and rape them into submission.
